University Ministry Opportunities!! Tijuana Day Trip: Saturday, April 13 (All day)

To help fulfill international requirements, University Ministry offers a monthly day trip to Tijuana. The trip seeks to engage students with the community in Tijuana through a service project, home visits, a border tour, and reflection. If you are looking to explore or grow in the values of solidarity, spirituality, social justice, and simplicity, these trips are perfect for you. Email Erin Bishop at [email protected] on April 1 to sign up.

Theology on Tap: Thursday, March 21 (7-8:30 pm) Theology on Tap is a fun and informal way to gather together with other grad students for food, drinks and community. It is a great chance to meet other graduate and law students at USD. This month, Dean David Pyke of the Business School will focus the night on spirituality of work. Don’t miss your chance to meet other graduate students, as well as grow in your spirituality and faith. All are welcome, so bring a colleague or two!

Resident Ministers Wanted University Ministry is looking for a few graduate students interested in working as Resident Ministers, who live with and minister to our undergraduates. The Residential Ministry Program is designed to build community within the residence halls and to provide our students with spiritual and service opportunities to enhance faith, values, and social commitment. The Resident Minister provides pastoral care and presence in the residence halls. Ideally, candidates for the Resident Minister position will have some ministry experience with college students as well as a strong desire to help students grow spiritually. In return for (an average of) 15 hours of ministry per week, the University will provide a furnished apartment and $2,000 annual stipend. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please send a resume and cover letter to Michael Lovette-Colyer at [email protected].
