GLNG Roma 02 Upstream project Client: McConnell Dowell Constructors (for Fluor / Santos) Location: Central Western Queensland Contract value: $30 million Duration: April 2012 to June 2014 DESCRIPTION In early 2012 Electrix was awarded the contract for electrical installation work associated with the upstream gas gathering facilities for the GLNG coal seam gas project near Roma, Western Queensland. The duration of the project is for a period of around 24 months. At its peak the project will employ a workforce of over 140 Electrix personnel comprising Electrical and Instrumentation trades supported by an experienced Project Management, Construction Management, Supervision, Controls Management, Safety & Quality Management team. The majority of personnel are engaged under fly-in / fly-out arrangements. SCOPE The contract scope includes management, supervision, labour and plant for the electrical installation, construction, assembly, testing and pre-commissioning to the following areas. Roma Hub Compressor Station R-HCS-02; Completion facilities for the Raslie, Pleasant Hill and Hermitage Appraisal Ponds; The ponds associated with the hub compressor station R-HCS-02; The Gas and water gathering lines associated with R-NCS-02-01; The water transfer lines to the Raslie, Pleasant Hills, Hermitage and Mt Hope Appraisal ponds; Installation of R-HCS-02 brine transfer pumping station; Electrical controls, telecoms and automation associated with the Roma facilities together with the pig launchers and receivers associated with the existing facilities; New pig launchers and receiver facilities associated with the pipeline installations; The metering station compound R-HCS-02; The tie in station associated with the CRWP facility. VALUE TO CLIENT As part of the McConnell Dowell Group, Electrix is able to work closely with the MacDow project team to ensure a seamless project delivery for the client which fully complies with the demanding safety, quality and environmental requirements of this project. The work also requires close coordination with other trades and work packages often working under arduous climatic conditions.
