A RESOLUTION OF THE

CITY

COUNCIL OF THE CITY

OF GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO ACTING AS THE

ELECTRIC

UTILITY BOARD SETTING

ELECTRIC

RATES.

WHEREAS Article 080.050

of

the City s Municipal Code provides that fees for electric

rates be

set by Resolution; and

WHEREAS the City Council of the City

of

Glenwood Springs, acting as the Electric

Utility Board, has made the following findings

of

fact:

1. The most recent adjustment to the City

of

Glenwood Springs Electric System

rates was approved in July 2014. At the time, the City was provided with

information that indicated an additional rate increase would be needed on or about

April 1 2015. The City s ·operating, purchased power, and routine capital project

costs have increased in a manner consistent with the projections prepared in July

2014.

2. The City Council is in receipt of information upon which it bases its decision to

now increase electric rates as set forth in Advice Letter No. 26 of the City

Manager dated February 19, 2015, with attached Tariff Sheets.

3. The Tariff Sheets proposed in Advice Letter No. 26 represent fair and equitable

charges for electric service in the City of Glenwood Springs in order for the

Electric System to realize the historical rate of retutn of the System. The

proposed Schedule

of

Rates is in the public interest and should be authorized.

WHEREAS the Electric Utility Board has, prior to the adoption of this resolution, given

public notice pursuant to Rule 17(A)(l)

of

the Rules

of

Practice and Procedure before the

Electric Utility Board

of

the City

of

Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and

WHEREAS the City Council by this Resolution will set electric rates until otherwise

amended by City Council.

THE CITY

COUNCIL OF

CITY OF GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO

ACTING

AS

THE ELECTRIC

UTILITY

BOARD, THAT:

Section

hereby adopts the revised schedule

of

electric rates recommended by the City

Manager in Advice Letter No. 26. Copies of the Advice Letter and the revised schedule sheets

shall be available for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk

of

the City of Glenwood

Springs, Colorado.



Section 2 The electric rates set forth in the revised rate schedules shall be effective for all

electric utility billing performed by the Glenwood Springs Electric System for the April 2015

electric billing cycle.

Available in all territory served by the City.

APPLICABILITY

Applicable to separately metered individual dwelling units for all domestic

uses. Single phase service. One hundred ten 11 0) volts and two hundred

twenty (220) volts.

SECURITY LIGHTING SERVICE


APPLICABILITY

Applicable for outdoor area lighting of customer's property where such service

can be provided directly from existing secondary distribution lines of the City.

Not applicable for lighting ofpublic streets or highways.

MONTHLY RATE

Standard Lamp, as specified in Roadway/Walkway Light and Security Light

Installation Guide, per lamp, per month

CONDITIONS

OF

SERVICE

1 Lighting shall be furnished from dusk to dawn.

2. The City will furnish, install and maintain all lighting equipment,

including electrical circuits and one pole not more than 150 feet from

existing secondary circuit for an additional charge of .

per pole per month.

3. Prior to obtaining security lighting service, the applicant shall obtain

from the owner or occupant

of

each property which

is

adjacent to the

property upon which the security light will be installed, and from which

the security light will be directly visible, written consent to the

installation

of

the security light and shall submit same to the Glenwood

Springs Electric System.

PAYMENT

Bills for electric service are due and payable within fifteen (15) days from date

of bill.

CONTRACT PERIOD

All contracts under this schedule shall be a minimum period

of

two

2)

years

and thereafter until terminated, where service

is

no longer required, on thirty

(30) days' notice.
