Make Change for Children

Hey Glendale Families!!! It’s time for our annual Make Change for Kids Classroom Challenge for the nonprofit group Education Foundation of Niagara ([email protected]).

EFN is an organization operating within the District School Board of Niagara that helps to provide needed funds and resources, for DSBN students, where government funding is not available. Donations help to create a community where every student has access to all of the enriching opportunities that school life offers by:

All of EFN’s programs and initiatives rely solely on individual and community donations. 100% of funds raised go directly to help DSBN students.

citing prizes:

Our School Council is very excited to be hosting our 2nd Annual Glendale Springfest this year on Sat-

ents.

We are asking for your assistance in helping to find sponsors for our Glendale Springfest. We have

three sponsorship levels: Gold Sponsor, Silver Sponsor and Bronze Sponsor. Each of our major

sponsors will be assigned display space for your company on the day of our event. Additionally, all

of our sponsors will receive advertisement space for your company logo on our flyer to promote the

Glendale Vendor Fair.

Any vendors wishing to apply may email Melody Badali at [email protected] and request an application. All proceeds from our Glendale Springfest will go towards the enrichment of the Glen-dale students.

Glendale is excited to be participating in the DSBN Silver Birch® and Red Maple™ Student Conference, which will be held at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls on Friday, April 26, 2019. This is the culminating event for eligible students in Grade 5 and 6 (Silver Birch®) and Grade 7 and 8 (Red Maple™) who have participated in the OLA Forest of Reading® program within their schools. This system-wide celebration provides our dedicated readers and Silver Birch® and Red Maple™ book club members with the opportunity to connect with their peers and educators from across the District School Board of Niagara who have a shared passion for literacy. They will interact with Canadian authors and participate in a variety of hands-on experi-ences to foster an appreciation of Canadian literature.

Glendale Silver Birch® and Red Maple™ students who are eligible to attend will receive more information in the next few weeks.
