Glasstec Review 2018

With more than 130 years of expertise in the construction of glass melting furnaces we are well

known as specialist and expert in the glass industry. Over the years, we have extended our

capabilities and expertise and have grown from being a glass melting furnace manufacturer into one

of the leaders of the industry in technological plants.

Today we are the industry leader in turnkey plants.

We support our customers from the first rough draft, through to realization up to and including the

permanent support of production, even after the glass plant is finished. It is our ambition to realize

the customer’s project both economically and ecologically.

At glasstec 2018 we had the opportunity to introduce our customers to our new department

“glass plant technology”. A young dynamic team with many years of experience when it comes to

create a feasibility study including raw material analysis, project management for the engineering,

construction on site or during the commissioning, or even to support our customers practically in the

area of logistics or the training of their employees and technical support.

Another highlight of this year's exhibition was the transmission of our fair slogan

"from parts to plants". Especially in the production of individual components for the tin bath in the

float glass sector, we have expanded our portfolio so that we are now able to manufacture most

products by ourselves, here in Plößberg, all the way to complete technological plants.

Industry 4.0

Many productive and exiting discussions with our long-term customers as well as new contacts from

Europe, Asia, Africa and America made the fair very interesting and constructive. Especially on the

topic of Industry 4.0 many interesting approaches could be exchanged. Our point of view was

presented at this year's glasstec 2018 symposium:
