INSTRUCTIONS

THE SOLITARE EXPANSION UNIT WORKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SOLITAIRE

TOUCH CONTROLS AND GJD PASSIVE INFRA RED DETECTORS. THE MODULAR DESIGN

ENABLES THE EXPANSION UNIT TO BE CONVENIENTLY INSTALLED WITHIN EASY

ACCESS TO A MAINS SUPPLY, FOR EXAMPLE IN A LOFT OR A GARAGE. THE LOW

VOLTAGE CABLE LINK ALLOWS THE SOLITAIRE TOUCH CONTROL/S AND EXPANSION

UNITS TO BE POSITIONED ANYWHERE UP TO A DISTANCE OF 200 METRES APART.

LIGHTING

OUTPUTS:

Each expansion unit switches two channels each up to 1500W of

resistive load or 1000 Watts of inductive load. The inductive load may

require a “snubber” (suppressor) to manage the lamp discharge

current.

PROVIDES: Each Expansion Unit provides: 12VDC at 120mA for any of the

following :

30mA – 2 Zone Solitaire Touch Control

50mA – 4 Zone Solitaire Touch Control

6mA – Opal XL External PIR

10mA – Elite External PIR

35mA – RFX-3 Receiver for Opal RFX wireless PIR

50mA – Additional devices for auxiliary output (e.g. Piezo sounder)

‘T’ OUTPUT: 5mA + timed signal. Suitable for driving base of NPN transistor.

CABLE GUIDE: Up to 200 meters – 7/0.2mm – 4 to 8 core for the GJD detectors

Up to 400 meters – 16/02mm – 4 to 8 core for the GJD detectors

Up to 200 meters – 7/0.2mm – 6 core screened to Touch Controls

OPTIONS: Up to ten Solitaire Expansion Units can be added to a system for
