Description of Workshop:July 29, 1969 moon landing - we celebrated the 50th anniversary of that historic event over this past year. This book tells the story of the America that made the moon landing happen in just shy of adecade. It's about the courage to state a goal and develop the teamwork and partnerships to achievethat goal. It is ultimately about risk-taking, courage, and believing that you could achieve the impossible. About the Facilitator:Charles is a life-long resident of Chicago Ridge, currently serving his second term as Mayor. Prior tobeing elected Mayor, Chuck has been the Village's elected Clerk/Collector and the appointed BudgetOfficer since 1989. Prior to that he was a Village Trustee, having first been elected in 1975. Chuckreceived his BA in Political Science/International Relations from Knox College in 1975. He became anattorney in 1978 (Northern Illinois University), and in 1992 received a Masters Degree in PublicAdministration from Governor's State University. Mr. Tokar has extensive involvement with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks havingpreviously served as IIMC President in 2007 and was instumental in establishing IIMC's AthenianLeadership Society. Chuck attended his first Leadership Dialogue in 2005, began facilitatingdialogues in 2010, and continues to do so for municipal clerk organizations throughout the country.

Inthis session, participants will learn best practices for handling PRA requests for law enforcementrecords, as well as what information and images are subject to redaction. Additionally, you will learnabout the California Law Revision Commission's proposed revisions to the California Public RecordsAct that is expected to be effective in 2022.
