21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew tothe region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 ACanaanite woman from that vicinitycame to him, crying out, “Lord, Son ofDavid, have mercy on me! My daughteris demon-possessed and sufferingterribly.” 23 Jesus did not answer aword. So his disciples came to him andurged him, “Send her away, for shekeeps crying out after us.”



24 He answered, “I was sent only to

the lost sheep of Israel.” 25 The woman came and knelt before

him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

26 He replied, “It is not right to takethe children’s bread and toss it to thedogs.”

27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even

the dogs eat the crumbs that fallfrom their master’s table.”

28 Then Jesus said to her,

you have great faith!Your request is granted.” And herdaughter was healed from thatvery hour.

The woman was a Greek, born in

Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesusto drive the demon out of herdaughter. 27 “First let the children

eat all they want,” he told her, “forit is not right to take the children’sbread and toss it to the dogs.”

dogs under the table eat thechildren’s crumbs.”

29 Then he told her, “For such a

same we wouldn’t need 4 Gospels Ellen White says we have four

because the minds of people differ

and different writers bring outpoints that the others do not

Is this Troublesome?



"Why do we need a Matthew, a Mark, aLuke, a John, a Paul, and all the writerswho have bourne testimony in regard tothe life and ministry of the Saviour?

Why could not one of the disciples havewritten a complete record, and thus havegiven us a connected account of Christ's
