Casino Night Saturday, February 4th There is still time to get your tickets! Join us for a fun filled night of dinner, drinks, and gaming. Dinner will be served in the cafeteria at 6:30 and gaming will begin at 7:30 in the parish hall. There will be a silent auction along with fun prizes. Don't miss out on this community event! Lost and Found With the rapid changes in the weather our lost and found has grown to new heights. Please check to find your child's sweaters, coats, lunch boxes, uniforms, and sporting goods. All unclaimed articles will be donated to the thrift shop at the end of the month. Don't forget to eat breakfast! A healthy breakfast refuels your body and helps you function at your peak. Research shows that eating a healthy breakfast improves attention, concentration, academic achievement and physical energy. Pennies for Pasta Beta Club held a fundraiser in support of patients with Leukemia and Lymphoma. Their goal was $3000.00 by the end of January. The final total collected was $5,085.10, WOW! The winning class with the highest amount collected was Mrs. Ortiz's 8th grade with $633.57 Mrs. Ortiz's class will be rewarded with a pasta meal at Olive Garden. We began our registration for current students on Thursday, January 12th. Packets were sent home via backpack mail. Please read carefully and fill out required information completely and return the completed forms to the main office. Registation will be processed through FACTS and fees will be withdrawn on February 15, 2017. Registration is not complete until fees are collected through FACTS. Spaces will be filled on a first come first serve basis once open registration begins. Open registration for new students began on January 28th. PTC Meeting Please join us for a PTC meeting on Thursday, February 16th at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Middle School students will present their Science Recycle Fashion Show and Art work. We will have a Pizza Meal Deal which includes a slice of pizza, a cookie and a drink for $2.50 or 2 slices, a cookie and a drink for $3.50. Catholic Life Insurance Sweepstakes We are very grateful to St. Monica families and staff for selling and buying Catholic Life Insurance Sweepstakes tickets. Congratulations to the winner of the $1,000 Visa card Elaine Boehme, Mrs. Boehme has 4 children attending St. Monica School, Gabriel 6A, Daniel 4B, Anabel 2B, and Nathanael PKA2. Pizza Party winners for the class with most ticket sales are, Mrs. Van Zandt 7B and Mrs. Oliver 2A. We are blessed to have the support of our parents and community. The PTC plays a very important role in our school. They sponsor many fun and exciting events for your children along with raise money for school improvements and teacher wish lists for the classrooms. Without volunteers events like Fiesta Field Day, Santa Pictures, Pastries for Parents, Casino Night etc. would not be possible. Catholic Schools Week This week is Catholic Schools Week, a schedule of events was sent home and as you can see there is a lot going on!
