Summer Camp Contest Winners

Piper Smith, Senior from Ball and member to Service Unit 327, LOVES to bake. You name it, she’s gonna make it! In 2019, she showed off her baking and business skills by participating in the Alexandria Malls’ Kids Inc. She created a business plan to sell French macarons and cake pops – and she sure did sell them! After marketing her products at the mall, she sold out and cleared a profit.

With her passion and skillset, there’s no doubt that Piper will be successful business woman. A true example of a G.I.R.L. (Go-get-ter, Innovator, Risk-taker, and Leader!)

Piper shares “I believe baking is an exceptional way to express yourself. I want to share my passion with girls who have a similar interest.” Join her at Confection Connection Camp this summer!

Last summer, in the spirit of being girl-led and girl-focused, GSLPG kicked off a Summer Camp Contest where girls were encouraged to submit ideas for their ideal summer camp experience. Many fantastic ideas were shared, but in the end, two camps were brought to reality. On this page and the next, find information on the winning Summer Camp Contest submissions, as well as in-formation on the G.I.R.L.s who came up with the ideas and their inspirations! Way to step up and take the lead, girls!
