Author: Marcel
Piotrowski
Place Grodzisk Mazowiecki is a town in Poland in
Mazowieckie province
History Gimnazjum nr 3 in Grodzisk Mazowiecki was settled in
1999, in a building a building of former Primary School nb 5.
Primary School nb 5 existed since 1953 and received the name of Leonid Teliga, a famous Polish sailor. Our gimnazjum inherited this patron.
About our patron Leonid Teliga was born on 28th of May 1917 in Wiaźma in
Russia, died on 21th of May 1970 in Warsaw) – the officer of the Polish Army and Polish Air Forces in Britain, sailor, journalist, translator, writer, first Polish man who sailed around the Earth by wooden boat „SY Opty” in 1967-1969.
Our headmistress is Ms Małgorzata Okurowska, a chemistry teacher.
Students
Maybe it isn't the richest Junior High School in the world, but there are the best students you have ever seen :)
At this moment we have 564 students. Cooperation is our domain, for example: if someone is good at Maths, but bad at Biology, this person will ask for help that good guy who likes nature. Everyone helps everyone.
Teachers
There are 49 teachers now. Every teacher has got additional duties at school: running a photo gallery of school, administration, projects, school clubs etc.
BuildingThere are 3 floors, a ground floor, a cloakroom in the basement and a
gym (in total: 47 classrooms). The outdoor is dominated by yellow, and brown, indoor – green and white. Also we can find school playgrounds and pitches (basketball, handball)
SportsEveryone is good at something, but our school is almost
perfect at sports! Why? In Grodzisk Mazowiecki there are a lot of sports clubs like UKS Sparta or Pogoń Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Luckily most people from this organizations go to our middle school.
