CSR & SUSTAINABLE ACTIVITIES

A fleet of 4 Electric (EV) cars have been put to use in various units at GIMATEX thus enhancing its green footprint for better environment sustainability. Reduction in CO2 emission by 50 grams per Km run would help to provide a cleaner air.

Water tanks of 5 lac litre capacity are built to store hot water (Upto 80 deg) and Soft water both. This completes the storage part of whole water recycling system which will ensure maximum reuse of water along with appropriate usage.

Going green with sustainable products and processes is the flavor of the season with Gimatex acquiring yet another certification of GRS for its Hinganghat Unit.now all it’s units are GRS Certified.

Another product of Radiance yarns gets added to our already diverse portfolio of products. With these customer gets Regular, Slubs, Compact, Multi-Count & Multi-Twist, Open End, Clear Pill (Vortex), Stretch, Optical, & Cationic yarns.

Time study were carried out to reassess operator responsibility and for reduction in machinery downtime during maintenance, resulting in better manpower utilization and increased machine utilization by 20% reduction in down time.

TEXTRONICS latest Design Software and Karl Mayer ROM-2 Sample Warping machine has been installed, benefitting into faster sampling for new product development.

Industry 4.0 implementation involving full integration of various machines got further extended with our Data logger for fabric inspection in grey folding department getting connected to our mainstream system. This will result into avoiding of unnecessary paper work with data accuracy, better fabric quality reports, and overall better control

New high technology - Yamuna 8 chamber Stenter was officially inaugurated to accommodate more Elastane fabric processing, thereby increasing value added products capacity to 40 thousand metres per day out of total 1.25 lakhs meters per day.

Second quarter management review meeting was held at dholka in presence of chairman, director & Mr. Dhang

To enhance the festivities, Garba Night was organised during the Navratras for the GIMATEX staff and their family members.

Started RFID based Vehicle Movement Tracking System within the premises enabling better control on monitoring of Trucks waiting time at each of loading / unloading points. With movement of almost 40 trucks per day, this will reduce the idle time of the fleet.

Vehicle branding has been done on GIMA Staff & Labour buses as a medium to communicate features of Gima Whitegold, our Dewaxed Refined Pure & Healthy Cottonseed Oil.

Environment clearance (EC) after the EIA study from State Level Expert Appraisal committee has been received to set up a 2 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP), thereby opening doors for a large scale Processing facility that can be set within the textile park for enabling to complete the textile chain.

2 new units of Doubling & Twisting (TFO) yarn as preparation for weaving applications have been finalized and would start operations before 31st March 2020.

Annual Nava Chandi Pooja performed in the Mata ji Temple of the mill premises in Dholka.

Industrial safety and Fire Fightning training was given by Sachin Hiwanj to staff

Quality aspects training was given to Wani spinning supervisors by Ashish Ghosh.

Mr Avinash Mehta (Sr.Manager QA) attended training at Control Union Office, New Mumbai. The training was related to operations of Upgraded CU portal for All Control Union related certifications like OCS, GRS, etc.

After successful implementation of new ERP VISION, Training programme organised to leverage advance features of VISION like Dashboards (Data Analytics), Document management and Workflows.

A technical seminar was conducted in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum for the right selection of lubricants, hydraulic oils, gear oils and greases. Shelf Life, Storage & handling for safety precaution aspects were also covered.

Food & Drug Administration (FDA) of United States ie US FDA has given its approvals to Ultra Low Gossypol Cotton Seed Meal for Animal (Poultry, Aqua etc) & Human Consumption. The product approved is exactly of the characteristics that of GIMA GOLD, High Protein Degossypolized Cotton Seed Meal manufactured at GIMA Biotech division. So some time in future, GIMA GOLD can be one of the ingredient for high Protein food products.

In HITP a MSEDCL controlled Electrical Substation of 10 MVA has started operations from the month of Dec-2019 benefitting the companies with quality power with zero breakdowns.

Gima Biotech accomplished highest crushing of 5000 MT of cottonseed in the Dec month and also achieved highest despatch of its products valued at Rs 2.5 Cr. in one single day.
