Vought has always strived to be a good corporate citizen. Sustained involvement and contributions to our local communities are important elements of our business plan and corporate culture. The collective efforts of our employees, supplemented by the company, help build better communities. From companywide campaigns and local activities to blood drives, Vought and our employees help those who need assistance the most. This report summarizes the company’s community support and citizenship for 2003. It also salutes our employees for volunteerism and generosity. Reaching Out

Major Community MARCH OF DIMES – WALKAMERICAIn 2003, Vought and nearly 400 of its employees inTexas, Georgia, Florida and California participatedin the annual March of Dimes WalkAmerica,donating more than $146,000. Many employeesalso volunteered to help during the walk – settingup the Vought tents, servingrefreshments and cheering onthe walkers.

Vought supports two majoremployee volunteerfundraising initiatives eachyear through companywidecampaigns: March of DimesWalkAmerica and Can Do!,our own canned food drive.They both require the time,dedication and support ofteam captains and a cadre of volunteers to make theannual fundraisers a success.

VOUGHT CAN DO!CANNED FOOD DRIVEVought employees and retirees inTexas, Georgia, Florida and Californiaraised 556,295 cans for its annual CanDo! food drive, held in December.During the drive, employeesparticipated in numerous activities –from food sales, silent auctions, gamesand raffles to the sale of Can Do! shirtsand hats. Voluntary payroll deductionscontributed throughout the year add tothe total. This fundraising activity hasbeen a company tradition for 21 years,with the total donation now exceeding14 million cans.

Milledgeville andStuart joined forces tosurpass our companygoal of 400,000 cans.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION –HEART WALKVought in Stuart continues to be a key supporter ofthe American Heart Association’s Heart Walk. In 2003, Vought donated morethan $6,100 for life-saving heartdisease research and education.

Stuart employees raised over $4,000 for the 2003 Heart Walk activity benefitingthe American Heart Association.

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY –RELAY FOR LIFERelay for Life is a nationwide American CancerSociety event held each spring. Vought's sites inMilledgeville, Georgia and Stuart, Florida areleading contributors to their local Relay for Lifecampaigns – raising over $7,000 in Milledgeville and $4,000 in Stuart in 2003.

The Milledgevillesite raised over$7,000 for the2003 Relay forLife. Volunteerssold Valentine’sDay candy gramsto raise funds.

The Stuart site raised $4,000 for Relay for Life, which supports the American Cancer Society.

PROJECT GOOD TURNSince the 1960s, Dallas site employees haveperformed an annual “good turn” as a civicproject. They select a project that needsmajor refurbishing. In June 2003, 80 Voughtemployees gathered in Grand Prairie, Texas,to help restore Safe Side City. This miniaturemock-up town provides a fun place to helpkids learn to navigate safely through theirneighborhoods to reduce fatalities andinjuries related to motor vehicles.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMSeven college students received scholarshipawards from Vought in 2003. The recipients,selected from the 37 students who applied,were awarded $2,000 each. Eligible studentsmust be entering their junior or senior yearof college and be theson, daughter, stepson,stepdaughter orgrandchild of an activeVought employee.

Community Outreach in Action

The Los Angeles Board of Supervisors

presented the Hawthornesite with a certificate

of appreciation forproviding a safe place to

store toys gathered bylocal fire departments.

Volunteers from theMilledgeville site

assisted participants atthe Baldwin County

Special Olympics games.

Dallas volunteershelped collect cannedgoods for the NorthTexas Food Bank at theState Fair of Texas.The food bank collected34,663 pounds of foodthrough the activity.

United Way representativescame on-site topresent agencyinformation toDallas employees inOctober. Vought employeesdonated more than $300,000to their local United Wayagencies in 2003.
