RITE OF RECONCILIATION (Confession): Saturdays-3:00 to 4:15 pm (St. Margaret’s) BAPTISM: Parents must attend a Baptismal Orientation Class before the date of the baptism. Please call the office for more information. MARRIAGE: Couple must contact the parish priest at least SIX MONTHS to a year before the wedding. Marriage Preparation classes are required. • Comuníquese con la florería de su gusto y deles su pedido de flores. Ud. es responsable por ordenar y pagar su pedido de flores. Déjele saber a la florería el día y el lugar en donde se van a poner las flores.
• Si Ud. requiere un anuncio de sus flores en el boletín semanal de la iglesia, Ud. debe de comunicarse con la oficina de la parroquia (542-0217) tres semanas antes de que sus flores se pongan en la iglesia. TODAS LAS FLORES DEBEN SER FRESCAS. NO

GUIDELINES FOR PLACING FLOWERS IN THE CHURCH
To place flowers in the church you must do the following: Check the calendar in the church and choose your date. Fill in the space you want to display your flowers with your name and phone number. Contact the florist of your choice with your request. You are responsible for ordering and paying for your flowers. Let the florist know when and where the flowers are to be placed in the church. If you want your request put in the bulletin, you must contact the church secretary 3 weeks prior to your placement. ALL FLOWERS MUST BE FRESH. NO SILK WILL BE ACCEPTED. OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE
The Guadalupana Society cordially invites you to participate in the celebration for Our Lady of Guadalupe, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Las
Mañanitas (birthday song) for Our Lady of Guadalupe will begin at 5:00 in the morning, followed by breakfast and Matachines dancing. At 5 o’clock in the afternoon, there will be a Pilgrimage around St. Margaret’s and Mass at 6:00 p.m. After Mass, the celebration will continue with food, matachines, and folkloric dancers. Donations for this celebration are kindly accepted. All activities will take place in the church grounds, weather permitting.

Sunday, December 31, 2017 SPECIAL COLLECTION: The weekend of December 30th and December 31st, is the Feast of the Holy Family and our parish will take up a special collection for family services within our diocese. This collection benefits various family services within the Diocese of Austin. Throughout Central Texas there are maternity homes, foster care programs and adoption services that help expectant mothers, children in need and entire families. These important services and programs provide much needed assistance and promote our Catholic values of respecting all human life. Please be generous in supporting this much-need service.
We will start a new list for the sick. This sick list is for individuals who are in a “Critical” stage in their illness or facing surgery. We will also be praying for soldiers who are stationed abroad. (Please, mention
the soldier’s name and rank.) If you would like to add someone to the list, call the Parish Office at 979-542-0217 and give your information to Emilia or Hilda. Thank you.

HEART OF JESUS MEN’S DISCERNMENT RETREAT December 15-17

NEWS OF COMFORT In a time of preparation, much of it having to do with material things, it is good to hear the words of Isaiah, “Comfort, give comfort to my people, / says your God” (Isaiah 40:1). In a time of such stress and rush, when our usual burdens are augmented by piles of Christmas preparations, we can choose to slow down, take some time to heal, and appreciate the enormous gift we are about to receive. Christ, the Son of God, has become one of us, and knows our human limitations. Yet God, even now, is freeing us from the burdens that our inattentiveness to our God and to our deepest inner longings have heaped upon us. The Lord comes, not as a king with mighty armies, but as a shepherd leading the flocks with care and tenderness. Isaiah prophesies good news: our oppression is over, our sins forgiven. The flowers will remain in the sanctuary until after Christmas. Please complete the form below and place it in the collection basket along with your check made out to the Altar Society (or cash) no later than December 20, 2017.
