This liberal arts program explores the historical,philosophical and artistic influences that shapeour world. Students study influential thinkers,

hil hphilosophers, writers, scientists and historiansand historians from Western and Non‐Western cultures.

Students are helped to understand multiple perspectives in analyzing textsanalyzing texts.

The STEM Program began when the GHCHS MSTMagnet Program was cancelled by LAUSD Springg g y p g2010. Due to student, parent and communityinterest the original MST program has beenexpanded to include engineeringexpanded to include engineering.

This program has been designed specificallyfor the student interested in pursuing afor the student interested in pursuing abusiness or finance career. Specific CareerTech Ed courses have been selected toenhance the experience of students guided bya select team of common teachers and

Courses such as Money and Banking, BusinessCourses such as Money and Banking, BusinessAlgebra, Multimedia Communication Designfor Business and Topics in Global Economicsand Finance have been selected to enhancethe applied learning experience.

At the 11th grade year, students will beassigned a business mentor and have accessto a variety of job shadowing and internshipopportunities through the partneringb ibusinesses.

Notification of approval will take place in Aprilwith 10th grade applications available at thattime. All students will be screened andselected based on grant requirements.
