1. Meeting called to order by the Chairman.2. Welcome address by the Chairman.
th3. To read and confirm the minutes of the last Annual General Body Meeting held on 28 August 2015.
4. Report from Hon. Secretaries.st5. To read and approve the Audited Accounts for the financial year from 1 April 2015 to
st31 March 2016.
st6. To appoint the Auditors for the financial year ending 31 March 2017 and to fix their remuneration.
st7. To approve the revised budget for the year ending 31 March, 2017 and budget for the
styear ending 31 March 2018.8. Any other matter with the permission of the chair.
1. The meeting will be called to order at 7.30 p.m. If there is insufficient quorum, the meeting shall be adjourned for half an hour and shall be called again to transact the business as per agenda with the members present at the meeting.

be made available at the office of the Gymkhana for inspection between 5:30 p.m. to nd rd

MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN & MANAGING TRUSTEE
Dear Members,
It gives us immense pride and pleasure to welcome you all to the st31 Annual General Body Meeting of our gymkhana to be held on th
26 August 2016. We extend our warm greetings for coming
Paryushan Parva, Ganpati Festival, Navratri, Dassera and Diwali
Festivals.
We are very proud and pleased to present our Annual account
much in advance. It is for the first time in the history of Jolly th
Gymkhana that we are calling AGM on 26 August 2016. Our last thAGM was held on 28 August 2015 which was completed in 40
minutes only. During this period of 12 months, you will find from the Secretary's
report that more and more members are participating in all sports activities, Coaching Camps,
Competitions, Seminars, Cultural and Entertainment Events.
We had various tournaments & competitions in different sports, Inter Department, Inter School/Inter
Gymkhana/Inter College Cricket Tournaments. We are happy that our team has won Inter Gymkhana
Cricket Tournament. Moreover there were U-16 MCA Cricket camp for boys; MCA Net Practice. Our
ladies Cricket team were runner up in the Mumbai Level tournament organized in association with
Midday. JPL where 12 teams with 159 members participated. Sports day for women and children was th
held . Our 120 members participated in Mumbai Marathon 2016. Our 5 Inter School Badminton
tournament was participated by 288 students from 143 different schools. Mumbai level Tournament of
Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess held with Mumbai Samachar.
We had most encouraging Entertainment programmes and events like Sangeet Sandya, Dairo,
Hasya darbar, Kite Flying, Crackers Show, Ladies Wing Programmes, Events for Senior Citizens,
Housie, Summer Vacation Hungama, Khelo Jolly Khelo etc.
Again this year, two important events “Jolly Idol” to explore Singing Talent and “Dance Jolly Dance” to
explore Dancing Talents within members were held. During vacation,we had coaching for Zumba,
Bollywood Dance, dance Cross fit, Power Yoga, singing & karaoke. Our mega events in Open Ground
shown tremendous response by members during Christmas celebration with 2000 , New Year eve
with Indrani live 1050, Naitik Nagda Nite with 1950, Fun fair with 100 stalls by members and 2000 plus
attendance were the most participated and enjoyed events by members. nd th
For the first time we had celebrated “Womens Week” from 2 to 8 March,2016 with various sports
and talent activities by ladies throughout the week. Participation of more than 800 ladies was highly
appreciated. Indeed… a great successful event.
Our Youth wing committee also organised Workshops, Seminars & Youth related programmes like
Basic Photography by Sony; Usage of smart phone by Sony; Effective Parenting by Kaajal Oza

Vaidya; Cooking contest and workshop; Managing Stress by Dr. Sneh Desai; Enhancing Vision &
Gym for Eyes by Dr. Gul Nankani had participation between 300 to 500.
Yoga “Surya Namaskar” event in open ground had participation of 386. World Yoga Day was
celebrated with Talks, Dance Performances, Yoga Demonstration etc.
Prize Distribution function for various sports tournaments was organised for the first time in Open
Ground. To promote sports and outstanding talent, scheme of Awards, Cash Prizes, Advance
Coaching to winners at Mumbai level, State level, National level recognized tournaments was
announced.
Our website is upgraded with happenings regularly . Four issues of Bulletin “Jolly n Joy” were
published in 2015-2016. Our affiliation with 22 clubs on list. During the year, we have appointed
Chakra Hospitality agency for fast food.
Our Gymkhana is also carrying out various Social responsibilities. We promote school/ college going
students through providing facilities of net practice/coaching, tournaments in Cricket, Badminton. We
had organised jointly with Lions, Maharashtra State Level Two days Cricket Tournament for Blind
Players where 8 teams from various cities participated. We had Sports Day for 250 Special Children
from 15 schools. We had swimming coaching for 4 days for 40 physically disabled children. We do
other sports events to promote sports talent for community at large with support of Mid Day, Mumbai
Samachar and other N.G.O
You will find from Project Sub Committee Report that Hydraulic Lift was started, renovation of 9 guest
rooms; Repainting & Polishing of Basement Banquet Hall entrance area, Olive party hall. Renovation
of fast food area were carried out. International level diving board was installed at Swimming Pool.
You will find from the Audited Accounts that we have spent approx Rs.17.24 crores till 31.03.2016 on
Assets. We are happy that as on date, we have investment of Rs.56.80 crores in the form of Bonds,
Tax free bonds, Fixed deposits and Bank Balances.
Our revenues from interest, sports fees, venue hire, royalty etc were Rs.8.82 crores as against last
year's Rs.8.34 crores. The expenditure were at Rs.6.31 crores (excluding depreciation) as against
last year's Rs.5.63 crores (excluding depreciation). The cash flow generation (after tax) during the
year was Rs.2.19 crores as against last years Rs.2.32 crores.

Zatakia and Mr.Mukesh Badani; Hon Treasurers Mr.Balwant Sanghrajka and Mr.Nalin Mehta, Project

REPORT FROM THE DESK OF THE SECRETARIES
Dear Members,
On behalf of Managing Committee and ourselves we are pleased to
present our Annual Report for the year 2015-2016 in respect of
Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana.
ADMINISTRATION
1) EFFECTIVE ADMINISTRATION
a) MEETING OF MANAGING COMMITTEE AND TRUST BOARD: The Meetings of
Managing Committee and Trust Board are held regularly every month. At the said meetings all
important plans and policies are discussed in detail and suitable decisions are taken. Accounts
and Financial matters are also presented regularly for discussion. Applications for Transfer and
new membership are also approved regularly. The details of meeting of Managing Committee
and Board of Trustees along with attendance by the trustees and members of Managing
Committee are given separately.
b) MEETING OF OFFICE BEARERS: Chairman, Managing Trustee, Two Hon. Secretaries
and Two Hon. Treasurers are meeting regularly on every Tuesday. At this meetings, all day
to day problems/suggestions of members, agencies, staff, guests, visitors etc are
discussed at length. The suggestion book, accounts, communications received and made
are also discussed. The decisions of the Managing Committee and Trust Board are also
implemented by the office bearers by giving proper guidance and direction to the
Administrative Staff and agencies. Audit, Statutory Compliances, Finance are also discussed
and compiled on regular basis.
c) MEETING OF INCHARGE, CONVENERS, JOINT CONVENERS AND SUB-
COMMITTEE: Meeting of various sub-committees, as required, are regularly held by respective
incharge to discuss their problems, if any, or suggestions received from members. Thereafter
suitable actions are implemented in consultation with Office Bearers to give satisfaction to the
members.

a) The Members are aware that Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana has introduced the new concept
of Transfer of Membership by amending the Rules and Regulation at the Extra Ordinary thGeneral Meeting held on 20 February 2005. New category of membership namely
Associate Spouse Membership was also introduced for the first time.
We are happy to inform that so far 640 applications are received and approved for Transfer
of Membership and 105 applications are received and approved for the Associate Spouse
Membership.

3) FINANCE AND ACCOUNT
In order to provide all the facilities to the Members and their family members, the
scheme of Gold Cards was introduced. The fee for Gold Card was fixed at Rs.
2,500/- for the financial year 2016-2017. For Sr. Citizen, age between 60 to 65
years rate was fixed at Rs. 1,200/- for 1 year. Members above 65 years are not
required to take Gold Card.
The Gymkhana is allowing the entry of vehicles with car parking stickers issued by
Gymkhana. So far Gymkhana has issued 4292 stickers to the Major Life Members.
Additional car sticker scheme was also introduced w.e.f 01.04.2013 at a nominal
charge of Rs.1000/- per year per sticker. So far Gymkhana has issued 85 additional
stickers to the Major Life Members.
a) From the Audited Income and Expenditure Account, you will observe that in
Financial Year 2015-2016, there is a surplus of Rs. 168.48 Lacs as against surplus
of Rs. 193.03 Lacs in the Financial Year 2014-2015 before provision for taxation.
b) The Investments in Tax Free Bonds and HDFC were Rs. 26.32 Crores as against Rs.
26.12 Crores in last year. Interest receivable on bonds were Rs. 39.27 Lacs as
against same amount in last year.
c) The investments in fixed deposits were Rs. 29.87 Crores as against Rs. 27.92 Crores in last
year. The interest receivable were Rs. 275.85 Lacs as against Rs. 161.07 Lacs in last year.
d) The Asst. Director of Income Tax(E) Mumbai had completed income tax thassessment for F.Y 2008-2009 i.e A.Y.2009-2010, on 27 December 2011, by
treating all incomes of Gymkhana as regular income and also treated Gymkhana as
non Charitable Trust. There is also amendment in section 2(15) of Income Tax Act
1961 withdrawing certain concession to the charitable trust. The Director of Income
Tax (Exempt) also withdrawn certificate issued U/S 12AA of I.T. Act
1961.Gymkhana had filed appeal to Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and succeeded.
The Department filed appeal to Bombay High Court against order of Income Tax
Appellate Tribunal.

e) As per advice of experts, the Gymkhana has decided to submit Income Tax
return from F.Y.2011-2012 onwards by offering net income for taxation.
Accordingly a sum of Rs. 32.20 lacs were provided in account as provision for
taxation for F.Y.2015-2016. The provision for taxation was Rs. 38 lacs in F.Y.
2014-2015. Accordingly the net surplus is reduced to that extent. The income tax
assessment is completed up to F.Y. 2012-2013 (Asst. year 2013-2014) accepting
the returned income.
f) The Internal Auditors are appointed to carry out internal audit of accounts and
their quarterly reports are regularly discussed at the meeting of the Office
Bearers and the Managing Committee. All the necessary steps were taken to
improve, maintain and present the account in a proper manner.
g) Financial reports are presented regularly at all the meeting of Board of Trustees
and Managing Committee and also the reports on accounts are presented
regularly at the Office Bearers meeting.
h) The investment policies are decided by the Board of Trustees and Managing
Committee. The total investments in FD, Bonds etc. increased as under :-

a) Provisions of other Laws like various Labour Laws, Service Tax, Luxury Tax
etc are applicable to Gymkhana. The Managing Committee is taking all care
in consultation of Legal advisers to comply with all applicable Laws.
b) Expert's opinion on legal and taxation matters are also sought whenever it is
necessary, for the benefit of Gymkhana.
c) All other legal compliances of labour laws, service tax, Luxury Tax, l icenses

A: BADMINTON:
The reports and information received from Incharge / Convenors of various Sub- Committees
are presented as under after necessary changes, if any.
it is our pleasure to present the activities of Badminton in the last 12 months.
Badminton Sub-Committee is committed to do various activities and projects to enhance the
interest in this sport.
Periodic and regular maintenance of badminton court is being done including sanding and
polishing work to avoid skidding.
We are in the process of making badminton courts air conditioned for player's comfort.
We organized friendly badminton matches with various clubs within Mumbai and invited by
Chembur Gymkhana for badminton tournament.
nd thWe participated in Club Badminton Championship held at Chembur from 02 to 24 April 2016.
We recently participated in G D Birla Memorial Cup tournament at Bombay Gymkhana. We
nominated two Teams and 4 pairs in open category.
thBadminton Sub Committee organized its 5 Inter School Badminton Tournament. 143 schools
thwith 288 participants registered for the 4 day event. This was the 5 consecutive year since we
introduced this tournament and we take pride that Inter School tournament has become an
extremely popular event organized by our club. We are proud to say that many of our member
students qualified in various categories. Ms. Aparna Popat, India's National Champion was the
Chief Guest and motivated the students.
During Womens Day, we organized a special coaching for our female members. We got
enthusiastic response from 20 members and basic coaching was given to develop their interest
in the game.
To encourage sports we actively pursue Badminton coaching during summer vacation. During
this summer camp 78 children members joined the summer camp.
Our Annual Badminton Tournament was held during Jolly Gymkhana Sports Week. Due to
active participation by 97 members the Tournament went for 4 days.

The game of Billiards and Snooker continues to gain popularity as more and more members
continue taking active interest.
th th th thLike every year, tournament was held for juniors on 8 & 9 June 2016 and for seniors on 10 , 11
th& 12 June 2016. There were total 49 entries for tournament. The Summer Coaching Camp were
organized for billiards during the month of "APRIL-MAY" 2016.
“Jolly N Joy ”– Our In House Gymkhana Bulletin is a communique which we publish quarterly
showcasing the various developments, happenings and activities of the Gymkhana. We
constantly strive to update the bulletin with latest contents to make it all the more appealing,
informative and useful.
We also input highlights of International Sports around the world and other excellent reading
articles.
We plan to make our “Jolly-n-Joy” more like a magazine creatively depicting all round activities of
the gymkhana which every Jolly member would be waiting for.
Our website www.jollygymkhana.in was launched on 2nd July 2011 and has been updated
regularly with all the latest information/photographs on activities, notice and events in the
Gymkhana. It has been our focus to make it user friendly and appealing so that more and more
members visit the Gymkhana Website.
The home page is periodically changed according to the festivals and also national and
international events are covered to give an impressive look. Soft copy of our In-House Bulletin is
also uploaded on the website.

The members of the card room are very happy as 11 tables are provided for playing. Due to
heavy rush in the month of Shravan, the card room activity is extended to other area on Saturday,
Sunday and Public Holidays as and when required.
The card room is well patronized by members and their guests.
The Summer Vacation Coaching Camps were organized for chess during the months of April and
May 2016 with very good response from members.
Annual Carrom & Chess Tournament-2016 was conducted for senior and junior members in
th thdifferent age groups. Carrom tournament was conducted on 5 & 12 June 2016 and Chess
thTournament was conducted on 5 June. 2016. In Carrom tournament, there were more than 98
participants and in Chess tournament there were more than 56 participants. Day by day the
popularity of these games is increasing and more and more members are using the facility.
Looking at the popularity Managing Committee has approved to keep Marker cum Coach for 3
months on trial basis. He will come 4 days a week between 4.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. so that more
and more members can take advantage of the coach and learn the game.
Cricket Season for 2015-16 opened with its usual fanfare on the auspicious occasion of
nd“Dussehra” i.e. 22 October 2015 and to mark the occasion an Internal Tennis ball Tournament
was organised for the members as part of the inaugural celebration and 116 members
participated in same
Regular cricket practice for members under guidance of coach Mr. Ravi Kulkarni held from
Dassera to 10.04.2016.
The Summer Coaching Camp 2016 were for 1½ months wherein 7 nets in morning and 9 nets in
evening are conducted under the guidance of expert coaching of Base Cricket Academy. 318
cricket enthusiastic youngsters including 12 girls participated in the camp.

Our Gymkhana also arranges regular cricket nets for our members and enthusiastic Ladies
members along with nets for various age group boys under the charter of “Mumbai Cricket
Association”.
The tournaments organized by Gymkhana were as follows:
nd1. Tennis Cricket Tournament on occasion of Dusshera held on Thursday, 22 October 2015 at 8.30
a.m. 116 members participated.
th th2. Inter School Cricket Tournament – 2015 was held on 12 to 19 December 2015 at Ghatkopar
Jolly Gymkhana. 8 different Schools participated in the said tournament. The final match was
played between B.A.K. Swadhyay Bhawan High School and Amulakh High School. The match
won by Amulakh High School by 1 wkt. Prize distribution ceremony was held after the final match.
th th3. Inter Department Cricket Tournament – 2016 was held on Sundays 24 and Tuesday 26 January,
2016 at Jolly Gymkhana Ground. Match won by Badminton, Bulletin, Website & Affiliation dept.
4. Lions of District 323 A2 and Jolly Gymkhana had jointly organised Maharashtra State Level
thCricket Tournament for the Blind on Tuesday, 24 and Wednesday, 25 November 2015. 8 Teams
from various cities participated. Hon. Minister Mr. Prakash Mehta, Veteran Film Producer &
Director Mr. Ramesh Sippy attended the prize distribution ceremony at Jolly Gymkhana.
th th5. 6 Inter Club / Gymkhana Cricket T-20 Tournament – 2016 was held on Saturday 26 & Sunday
th nd rd27 March and Saturday 2 April, 2016 & Sunday 3 April, 2016. 8 teams participated in the said
tournament. The final match of Inter Club / Gymkhana Cricket tournament was played between
rdGhatkopar Jolly Gymkhana Senior Team V/s. P.J. Hindhu Gymkhana on Sunday 3 April, 2016.
thThe Jolly Gymkhana Senior Team won the tournament for the 5 time and this victory was third in
a row which made it a hat trick .
th th6. Ladies Cricket Tournament in association with “Gujarati Mid-Day” was held on 18 to 20 March,
2016 at Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana Ground. 42 teams participated in the said tournament. Final
match was played between Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana team V/s. Chak De Bombay Rockers.
Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana Team was runner-up.
th th7. Jolly Premier League T-10 Cricket Tournament 2016, was held on Saturday 9 Sunday 10 ,

There were 12 teams participated consisting of 159 members. Live telecast was broadcasted on
Rajesh Cable. Various sponsorers sponsored the team with specific name. It was grand occasion
not only for Jolly Gymkhana but for entire Ghatkopar.
Final match was played between Rajesh Hathway Cable & Sanghavi XI. Ami Cup was won by
th Rajesh Hathway Cable. Prize Distribution Ceremony was held on Sunday, 17 April, 2016 at Jolly
Gymkhana Ground.
Apart from the above events our Gymkhana ground was also a centre for MCA under 16 Selection
coaching Camp which was held from Mid April to May 2016.
Above activities shows the great heights of Cricket has achieved for which the credit goes to Trust
Board, Managing Committee members and Cricket Sub-Committee members.
Event & Entertainment and Ladies wing team of Jolly Gymkhana are providing great
entertainment to the members and their guests, through out the year. We are pleased to inform

Gymkhana have 9 Guest rooms, with all ultra modern facilities and attractive views on both
sides. Members and their guests are taking full advantage of these rooms. We are providing
complimentary breakfast to the guests utilizing the rooms. The occupancy were 2033 days as
against 1623 days in last year.
The guest rooms are useful for Gymkhana in inviting other clubs for Reciprocal arrangements in
India and Abroad for affiliation.
The Sub-Committee is very happy to report that members are utilizing Gymnasium and taking
advantage of renovated gymnasium with installation of Olympic series hard core equipments.
Members are very pleased with new machines and also with new professional trainers to support
their fitness. With installation of new machines and trainers, more members have started taking
advantage of gymnasium.
Sub-Committee of gymnasium is please to have support of members, trustees and managing
committee, upgrade the gymnasium and provide the best service to members by professional
trainers, fitness consultant and dietician.
Women's Day was celebrated at Gymkhana and special session was there for Ladies member
on that day for fitness training at Gymkhana which encourages more members to use the same.
Our health club has facilities like Steam, Sauna bath, Jacuzzi, Chilled Shower, Massage and
Locker. There is increase in awareness about the use of health club facilities among our
members.
Especially for our ladies members, we have the facility of massage on all days from 11.00 a.m. to
5.00 p.m.
There is an increase in number of members using health club facilities on regular basis. Almost
more than 150 members are enjoying the facilities every day. On an average 20 members are
utilizing massage facility every day and to maintain the massage area hygiene, we use
disposable bed sheets.
In order to improve house keeping services in Gymkhana, the agency has bought machines
for cleaning and employed more staff and supervisors to look after cleaning of all areas.
The Security agency has improved its services a lot, for better vigilance we have installed 32 nos.
CCTV coverage even in the outer premises. We are planning to install additional CCTV camera
for more vigilance.

Tie-up with Topsline emergency service for Intrusion, Burglary, Physical Attack, Medical
Emergencies, Fire, Gas Leakage, Electrical Short Circuit and Accidents etc for emergency
service cover at Gymkhana premises.
Wi-fi facility and Public Address system installed at various locations at Gymkhana.
To assist Security in parking area, valet parking facility are provided to the members in morning
from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and evening 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. We have provided additional
valet parking facility during summer vacation for the benefit of members.
LED lights are fitted in various departments / locations at Gymkhana for saving electricity
consumption. Automatic Air fresheners for creating ambience atmosphere installed at various
locations.
The sub-committee always try it's level best to maintain hygienic and healthy atmosphere in
Gymkhana. Suggestions are always most welcome.
Under the guidance of our coaching team M/s Grand Slam tennis academy, Mr. Sujai
Mahadevan and Mrs. Neena sharma the Gymkhana is looking forward for promising new
players in Lawn Tennis.

January 2015 – With the help of Mr. Ashok Mapuskar (Coach / Senior Referee) our club's
first ever friendly Inter Club Volley Ball match was organized which was played between thJolly Gymkhana and Achiever's Foundation from Thane. Match was schedule on 8 of

January 2015, as per the guidance of Coach Mr. Ashok Mapuskar. It was a great exposure
for our players and also our young talents to raise their level of game and work over their
weaknesses.
February to April 2015 – During this period of the year there are lots of activities going
around the club as well as examinations for few. So keeping that in mind regular practice
sessions were on so that players can come and play the sport without disturbing their
studies and other activities.
May to June 2015 – Here comes the monsoon season. During this period of time as usual
practice sessions were carried out as per the availability of the players. Also a note of one
thing was taken care of that if there were many players' small tournament type
arrangements were made on the spot in order to maintain the spirit of the sport within the
players.
July to September 2015 – With regular attendance of the players and knowing every
individual's view we have started to play Volley Ball in two different formats which are direct
and indirect. The reason behind taking this step was to maintain the interest of the players
and other interested members within club for the game of Volley Ball.
October 2015 – Regular maintenance work was carried out on the court which was needed
since a long time. Like replacement of Volley Ball net, light pole job work, proper cleaning
and other regular maintenance stuffs.
November 2015 – Annual tournament i.e. intra club tournament was discussed among
players and announced in this month. After the announcement another pre tournament play
was organized which we practice every year to bring the atmosphere of the game alive and

December 2015 – This month is the month of tournament for Volley Ball. Players get geared
up for give out their best performance in the tournament. Annual tournament was held on
th th12 and 13 of December 2015 with all the necessary arrangements, keeping suggestions
and inputs from various senior players and other members as well.
Above all these activities carried out throughout the year we are glad to bring to the notice
that our two young players i.e. Mast. Mudit Doshi and Mast. Jash Valani were selected for
National Level and States Level respectively for Volley Ball. We congratulate to them and
wish them all the best for their future.

The fitness and long distance running activity has gained from strength to strength in our
Gymkhana. 180 members enrolled for the Seventh season. Striders the well known
National outfit in fitness and long distance training were again invited to train the members
for fitness as well as various races leading upto Standard Chartered Mumbai
Marathon(SCMM) 2016.
About 25 members ran the grueling Satara Hill Marathon and raced their way into the
Guinness World Records in the category “Most people in a mountain run-single mountain”.
Our members also ran various other races like the Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai city
marathons, DNA women's, Goa River run, Daman marathon, BNP, Amsterdam Marathon
as well as scores of other events.
Yet again nearly 120 members from Jolly ran the nation's premier marathon, SCMM 2016,
possibly the largest contingent from a club.
In pursuit of giving back to the community a team from Jolly comprising of Dr.Chetan Shah,
Capt.Swaminathan, Hetal Khatau and Vipul Mehta walked the OXFAM Trail Walk event, an
international event where teams across the world walk on different trails of 100kms to aid
charity. Our team- Jolly Lions came first among veterans in the event.
Today Jolly runners are well recognised as a brand.
Once again our Gymkhana is in the forefront of promoting training for Long distance
running and the Jolly flag flies high!!
During the year we also organised various talks by eminent experts in health and fitness training
for the benefit of all the members. These events were well attended by a cross section of Jolly
members.
The Eighth season of the Fitness and Marathon training commenced on February 1, 2016.
Our Restaurant, Bar & Fast Food are well patronized by members and their guests. In an effort to
give the best to the members, the sub-committee met frequently, attended to the
complaints/suggestions for betterment of the members.
The Restaurant and Bar room service continues to be catered by R.V. Flavors., Mr. Rohan
Hegde & our sub-committee organised special buffet lunch for the members and the guests on th th
the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Diwali, New Year on 12 November 2015 & Bhaubeej on 13

November 2015 where in dinner and lunch were made to facilitate the large groups to enjoy with
family without going into hassle of booking of banquet hall.
We have appointed M/s. Chakra Hospitality agency for fast food w.e.f. 08.12.2015. Fast Food
was newly renovated with modern decorative look and also installed four Gazebo style sitting
shed to enjoy fast food. We hope that members will relax and enjoy the same in the fellowship of
other members.
The Restaurant, Bar & Fast Food service appreciated by all the members, their families and their
guests, & we invite suggestions to improvise constantly.

members participated. During summer vacation in 60 days total more than 12000
members utilized the swimming pool.
Aqua aerobics was introduced for the first time and it's coaching was provided to members
during the summer vacation. USA made Duraflex Diving board 1 mts height was installed
and members are highly satisfied utilizing it. Shortly we are planning to introduce diving and
aqua aerobics coaching for members.

are provided for relaxation. Evening time has become a pool side entertainment for family
and guest of members.
All these activities are carried under the guidance of Swimming Pool Sub-committee with

Squash is a terrific raquet sport game played regularly in Gymkhana.
At times squash seems a simple game. Get on court, run after the ball, hit it where your opponent
can't get it.
But there's a bit more to it than that.
Playing squash regularly helps the players to increase their physical & mental fitness levels
and that too in minimum amount of time.
Summer Vacation Coaching Camp was held for one month during the month of May to June 2016.th th
Annual Squash tournament was held on 4 & 5 June 2016, there was overwhelming response
from members, there were more than 36 entries from various age groups.
Regular coaching by Coach Shri Chandrakant Pawar who was an champion of State Level.
Two ITTF approved championship level tables, optimally air conditioned & evenly
illuminated with requisite lumens room having anti-slip, cushioned pink synthetic material
flooring & wall colors as per international standard. Room has locker facility for 56
members.
a) Former veteran national table tennis champion, K.K. Rai, has been appointed as coach at
Gymkhana. Strict exercise regime, sharpening of reflexes and appropriate tactics &
techniques are some of the hall-mark of newly appointed coach. He has been tutoring using
robot too. He puts in about 15 coaching hours/week and his style has been appreciated by
all coaching participants.
b) To promote the game amongst female members of our gymkhana, free coaching is being
given by marker on specified days & time. Female members have given overwhelming
response to this initiative.
c) During summer vacation, special coaching camp is organised to suit school & college going
student members of our Gymkhana.

T: VENUE:
a) Annual tournament held in June 2016 had over 120 participants for various events. Mixed
doubles event was part of tournament for the first time.
b) Our ladies members brought honors to gymkhana by winning 'Mumbai Samachar'
championship.
8. If venue is booked by members of Gymkhana, 30 percent discount is allowed, and there will
not be royalty for caterers.
If any venue is booked for half day and other booking for 4 hours required, it can be booked
30 days in advance instead of 15 days at present.
If non-member book 2 venues for same function, higher royalty of one venue will be
charged.
Our Venues are giving maximum benefit to our members and their guests since each venue
is reasonably priced and having good décor.
The Gymkhana has following facilities.
1. Jasmine Basement Banquet Hall having modern look and all latest equipments like-Eco
systems-art culture with good quality air conditioners are installed, so members can enjoy
and take proud for celebrating their functions in Gymkhana. Area is approx. 4700 sq.ft.
which accommodate about 500 to 600 persons.
2. Lilac Ground Floor Banquet Hall having duly decorated and have good ambiance. Area is
approx. 2000 sq.ft. and can accommodate about 150 to 200 persons.
3. Terrace on first floor which can accommodate 400-500 guests for lunch or dinner. Also it is
having complete monsoon shed so that we are able to utilize terrace for 365 days.
4. Lantana Multipurpose Banquet Hall on first floor can easily accommodate about 50 to
75 persons in corporate culture. All the facilities for seminar, conference, business meeting
etc are provided.
5. Olive DJ Party Hall has capacity of about 100 guests. This hall is for DJ Function for
members and their guests with exclusive ambiance, dance floor, DJ Music, Flood Lights,
Moving Lights etc.
6. Two separate rooms for groom and bride with air conditioners are provided in Jasmine
Basement Banquet Hall.
7. The Gymkhana has a panel of 12 caterers for serving food at various banquet halls and first
floor terrace.

For prayer meeting, if venue booked by non-members and if food is not served, there will
not be catering royalty.
The sub-committee appreciates the cordial services rendered by the staff with hospitality
by providing all required information to various members and their guests using different
venues to celebrate their functions.
According to Bhagwad Geeta “Evenness of Mind “ is called Yoga. Shri Krishna tells us to
do our duty without expecting the fruits of action. We should have a balanced and even
mind to accept failure or success. To have even mind means the mind should be stable and
peaceful. This can be achieved only through practice of “Yoga”
1. Regular Yoga Sadhana is done everyday between 7.15am ti 8.15am by Yoga
Sadhakas at the Gymkhana under the guidance of Mr.Anil Ashar.
2. Apart from regular yoga sadhana, we also have special sessions of Arthritis, Asthama,
back pain , chakra healing, diabetes, improvement of eye sight and eye care, mudra
and bandha, nada sadhanas, om meditation, twin heart meditation , meditation with dance,
power yoga, meditation of Raja Yoga, Stress management, yoga for spine alignment, yoga
for senior citizens on chair, yoga for knees and pranayam, surya namaskar etc.
th3. Nand utsav and bhajan kirtan programme was organized on Saturday 5 September
2015 at Lilac Banquet Hall from 7.00 to 9.00am on occasion of Janmashtami in which
100 members participated.
th4. The festival of Navratri was celebrated by Yoga Sadhakas on 17 October 2015 from
7.00 to 9.00a.m. Around 100 members participated and played Raas Garba and enjoyed to
the fullest.
st5. Power Yoga Coaching sessions have been started by Mrs. Kiran Doshi from 01 December
2015 from 7.00am to 8.00am for minimum 20 students.
6. Yoga Sub committee had organized “Aditya Vandana” an event of Surya Namaskar th
challenge on Sunday,13 December 2015 at 7.00am. Around 386 participants from
different yoga institutes gathered under one roof for the event. The event was a great
success with the co-operation of jolly managing committee, yoga sub committee, yoga
family and jolly gymkhana staff also.
7. A yoga meditation session was conducted by Swami Samarpan Bharati from Surat, Gujrat thon 24 Dec 2015 between 7.15 am to 8.15am at Lilac Banquet Hall.

8. During Women's week jolly yoga sub committee had organized a session of Power Yoga by
Kiran Doshi and traditional yoga by Jagruti Shah.th st9. Shuddhikriya session was conducted on Saturday 12 March 2016 from 7am to 9am at 1
floor terrace 50sadhakas attended the session.st th
10. Childrens summer camp was conducted from 1 to 15 May 2016 in Lantana Banquet Hall.
15 little flowers enjoyed the camp and were gifted with Book Yogasana and Pranayama for
health by Dr. P.D.Sharma by jolly gymkhana.th11. Annual Yoga Competition was conducted on 5 June 2016 between 7am to 10am. Mr
.Makrand Newalkar and Miss Vasundhara Maheshwari judged the competition. Nearly 80
participants took part in the competition.th12. Yoga Sub Committee celebrated International Yoga Day on Sunday 26 June 2016 in
Jasmine Banquet Hall. The programme was as under :-
a) Yoga Sessions by – Dr Ganesh Rao and Mr Sabir Sheikh
b) Yoga Demonstrations of – Asana and Shuddhikriya by participants.
We are glad that we can give more and more of Yoga to our Jolly Members.
V: YOUTH WING:
In our constant endeavour, with a vision to organise Innovative & Creative, plus learning and
entertaining programmes in the field of Education, Career Building, Individual Development,
Information, Health, New Generation Issues and Awareness... etc of the Youth and
all Members as a whole of our JOLLY GYMKHANA, this committee was formed last year. The
Tremendous response received from all the members in these areas is registered and
acknowledged by all. Summary of the activities and programs organised by the Youth Wing Sub-
Committee under the guidance of Managing Committee and the Trust Board....
1) 30th August 2015, A Workshop on Basic Photography held on Sunday, 30.08.2015 with SONY
INDIA at Jasmine Basement Hall 10.00 a.m. onwards. More than 325 members participated.
2) 13th December 2015, Seminar on the Usage of Smartphones with technical experts from Sony
India was held at Jasmine Basement Hall. More than 204 members participated.
3) 26th January 2016, with the spirit of Republic Day a Seminar on Effective Parenting by KAAJAL
OZA VAIDYA was organised at Jasmine Basement Hall, from 10.00 a.m. onwards. More than 480
members participated and appreciated.
4) 20th March 2016, COOKING CONTEST AND WORKSHOP was organised for the second time.
It was a Grand event with Chef Navin Khadilkar. Immensely supported and appreciated by 63
contestants in 3 age groups & more than 175 participating members in the workshop....The
layout spoke and reflected the Glamour of the Competition as one of its kind...

th6) 17 July, A Seminar on Vision Therapy “Enhancing Vision & Gym for the Eve” by a visionary Dr. Gul J. Nankani was organised at Jasmine Basement Hall. More than 150 members participated.
The Project Sub-Committee continuously work around whole year to create best facilities and image of Jolly Gymkhana.
During last year the Project Sub-Committee undertaken the work of Hydraulic lift started near main entrance staircase for physically handicapped and senior citizen, renovation of Guest Rooms, Basement Banquet Hall and entrance area painting & polishing, renovation of Fast Food area and decorative lights installed, New International Level Diving Board installed, Painting work done at Olive D.J. Hall and carrom & chess etc.

from 8.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Jolly Gymkhana open ground. 150 children's participated.
5. Jolly Lions Sports Day for special Children held on 31.01.2016. 15 institutions consisting of
250 Mentally challenged Children have participated.
6. The Gymkhana is regularly organizing Ganesh Utsav for 7 days. The staff and members are worshipping the God and taking the blessings.

Maharashtra Sanyukt Kamgar Union has filed a complaint on 21-02-2013 against Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana and 5 others in the Industrial Court, Maharashtra at Mumbai U/S 28(i) of MRTU & PULP Act 1971, in respect of security guards wages. The Hon. Court gave interim relief order on 31-07-2013. The matter is adjourned by court again and again and same is pending before the said court for final decision.

For the first time, Women’s week from 2nd to 8th March, 2016 was celebrated. On each day, there were different sports coaching and talents coaching for ladies to explore their sports and other talents. On 8th March, 2016 finale celebration was organized, Ami Ghia, National Badminton Champion was chief guest. During the women’s week, more than 800 ladies participated.

We are very happy to present our report for the year 2015-2016. The works of Project Sub-Committee are very important as all efforts of this Sub-Committee create the real image of the organization.
The Project Sub-Committee has put in sincere hardworking selfless efforts under the able guidance of Hon. Trustee and Project Co-ordinator Shri Pravinbhai Parekh since last about 21 years to upgrade the Gymkhana to the most optimum level.
The Sub-Committee always welcome the suggestions and requirements of all the members, Sub-Committees and departments. After studying the same, the Project Sub-Committee proceed to complete the work within the planned time period.
The Project Sub-Committee always plan to complete the work systematically by engaging professionals and agencies to carry out the work and try it's level best to produce best result which is appreciated by one and all.
The Project Sub-Committee has undertaken number of works in the past and we all are enjoying the same. During last year the Project Sub-Committee has undertaken following works.
1. Hydraulic lift started near main entrance staircase for physically handicapped and senior citizen. It is very useful to needy persons visiting Gymkhana.
2. The cricket hard pitch prepared for cricket net practice.
3. The Decorators have changed the chairs in venues.
4. 9 guest rooms are renovated.
5. Basement Banquet hall and entrance area painting and polishing work completed.
6. Fast Food area renovated.
7. New International Level Diving board (Duraflex made in USA) installed at swimming pool and members started using the same.
8. Painting and minor renovation required at Olive D.J. Hall, Chess-Carrom, building etc. completed.
9. Decorative lights installed in fast food area and also lawn.
We are in process to complete the following works.
10. In all venues digital boards are to be fixed for information of guests.
11. Chairs in restaurant are to be replaced after finding proper source of supply of chairs.
12. The work of Air Conditioners in Badminton court will also commence shortly.
13. Tiles work on compound wall facing main road and railway side will be started at the earliest.
14. Air conditioner in basement hall are very old which need to be changed.
All minor repairing and other works are taken up as and when necessary.

thMinutes of the 30 Annual General Body Meeting of members of Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana was
thheld on Friday, 28 August 2015 at 7.30 p.m. at Ghatkopar Jolly Gymkhana, Jugaldas Mody
Marg, (Kirol Road), Ghatkopar (West), Mumbai – 400086 to transact the business as per the
Agenda of the notice convening the meeting. The following business was transacted.
Chairman Shri Rajnikant V. Shah called the meeting to order at 7.30 p.m. when the
required quorum was present. One minute silence was observed in honour of 12 members
who left for heavenly abode during the last year.
Chairman Shri Rajnikant V. Shah extended very warm welcome to all the members present
that the 30 Annual General Meeting and gave warm greetings for raksha bandhan,
janmashtami, Paryushan Parva, Ganpati Festivals, Navratri, Dassera and Diwali Festivals.
He was very glad to inform the members with proud that Gymkhana has completed 64
thyears of its existence and today is 30 Annual General Body Meeting. The last Annual
thGeneral Body Meeting was held on 19 September 2014. We are meeting exactly after 342
days. For the first time, in the history of Gymkhana the Annual General Meeting is called in
August and commenced proceedings at schedule time of 7.30 p.m. He thanked all for
support and co-operation.
He stated as under:
th(1) There was election of 9 trustees on 12 July 2015. The same trustees are re-elected
Unopposed. He thanked all members for their support and promised that the present
team will try it's best to give the best for Gymkhana. He further informed that Shri
Manoj Ajmera is elected as Managing Trustee. He congratulated him and thanked all
for co-operation.
(2) The Annual General Meeting is held for the first time in the month of August. The final
accounts were ready in 4 months of year ending. He congratulated and thanked the
Hon. Treasurers and team, staff and auditors for completing the work before time.

(3) From the Report of Hon. Secretaries it is observed that involvement of members have
increased and they are actively participating in various activities and taking full
advantage of different facilities available at the Gymkhana. He stated as under
a) The Senior team of Cricket became runner up in D division of the Kanga League
and promoted to the C division. There were Summer Coaching Camp. Inter
School Cricket Tournament, Inter Department Cricket Tournament, Inter
Club/Gymkhana T-20 Cricket Tournament. Ladies Cricket Tournament in
association with Mid-Day where 34 teams participated and Jolly Team was
runner-up, Jolly Premier League where 156 members participated.
thb) Sport day and treasure hunt for Ladies, Children, Mens were organised on 11
January 2015 where more than 1300 participants took part in 45 events.
c) Marathon is doing well under the guidance of Striders India. 160 members
participated in 2015 Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon.
d) In Badminton Inter School Tournament 419 students from 67 School participated.
e) In association with Mumbai Samachar many tournaments were organised in table
tennis, badminton and chess.
f) Various sport competition were organised in the month of June 2015. There will be
prize distribution function in next month.
g) Events and Entertainment and Ladies Wing sub-committee has given number of
programme almost one programme in month which include musical nite, diaro,
rangoli and ras garba, dandiya raas, cracker festival, sangeet sandhya, x-mas,
new year day, kite festival, Parthiv Gohil nite, hindi hasya kavi sammelan, fun fair,
Sriram Iyer nite, dance jolly dance and jolly idol, summer bonanza and many other
programmes.
h) Youth wing is also very active and gave number of programmes like foot prints of
thoughts, DJ nite, cooking contest and workshop, beauty workshop, origami,
career counseling etc.
sti) Yoga committee celebrated international yoga day on 21 June 2015 where 24
other organizations participated.

cultural programme for Senior Citizen.
4) Bulletin is regularly published every quarter and affiliation are with about 24 clubs in
India and 1 out side India.
5) Senior citizens above 65 years are now not required to take gold cards.
6) There is no catering royalty for members.
7) Project Sub-Committee has undertaken many works like renovation of lobby, gents
and ladies toilets, compound wall grill, repair and re-surfacing two tennis courts,
squash court and badminton roof renovation, equipments in gymnasium etc. Very
attractive walking track with rubberized flooring, land scraping, LED lights and music
constructed.
A hydraulic lift will start for the benefit of physically handicapped members and
visitors. It is proposed to have Air Condition in Badminton Court and diving board for
Swimming Pool. If new DP plan is passed, gymkhana will get more FSI.
8) The financial position of Gymkhana is very strong with Rs. 54 crores in corpus and
investment of Rs. 56 crores. The total income was Rs. 8.34 crores and expenses were
Rs. 6.41 crores. The provision for taxation reduced from Rs. 83 lakhs to Rs. 38
lakhs as now there is investment in tax free bonds.
9) The Office Bearers under the guidance of Board of Trustees and Managing Committee
and with the help of staff are able to comply with all legal formalities like payments of
taxes in time and submitting returns before due date and attending all other statutory
matters and comply all formalities and compliances. My congratulations to all. He also
thanked Shri Pravin Parekh and Team for all project related works in Gymkhana.
10) The Director of I. T. (Exempt) cancelled registration granted u/s 12AA of I. T. Act 1961.
The Gymkhana has filed an appeal to I.T.A.T. for F.Y. 2008-2009 which is decided in
favour of Gymkhana. The Department filed appeal to Bombay High Court is pending.
The income tax department assessed Gymkhana as non Charitable trust in view of
section 2(15) of I. T. Act 1961. Accordingly provision for income tax of Rs. 38 lakhs was
made in account.

11) Chairman appreciated the whole hearted support and guidance given by the Managing
Trustee Shri Manoj Ajmera and also put on record the sincere services rendered by
colleagues Hon. Secretaries Shri Jitendra Zatakia and Shri Mukesh Badani, Hon.
Treasurers Shri Balwant Sanghrajka, Shri Nalin Mehta, Board of Trustees, Members
of Managing Committee, Incharge, Convenors/Jt. Convenors, Shri Subhara Jyoti
Das, Manager and all members of Staff of Gymkhana, various agencies, coaches, and
of course all beloved members of the Gymkhana.
thWith the above words, he once again welcomed all the members to 30 Annual
General Meeting.
Hon. Secretary Shri Jitendra Zatakia stated that the minutes of last Annual General
thMeeting held on 19 September 2014 is published on page nos. 35 to 43 of Annual
Report which was sent to the members in advance. The same may be taken as read
and requested Chairman to present the minutes before house for approval.
After discussion the minutes were approved. The following resolution proposed by
Shri Raja Mirani (PM 02) and seconded by Shri Paresh Kothari (LM 961) was passed
unanimously.

September 2014 and circulated to all the members alongwith the Annual Report, be

Hon. Secretary Shri Mukesh Badani informed the house that the report of Secretaries
is published on page no. 8 to 33 of Annual Report, which may be taken as read. He
requested Chairman to present the Secretaries report for approval.

Hon. Treasurer Shri Balwant Sanghrajka informed that Annual audited accounts
together with auditor's report are published on page nos. 44 to 55. The accounts were
th thkept open for inspection on 24 and 25 August, 2015 from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Nobody visited for inspection of accounts. He thanked all members, staff, auditors and
all for their co-operation.
After discussion and replying the queries of members, the audited accounts for F.Y.
2014-2015 were approved by the house by passing following resolution unanimously,
which was proposed by Shri Arvind Shah (LM 4788) and seconded by Shri Prashant
Rupani (LM 5253).
“RESOLVED THAT the audited accounts for the F.Y. 2014-2015 alongwith auditor's
report be and are hereby approved and adopted”.
Chairman informed that M/S. R. R. Shah & Associates Chartered Accountants are the
Statutory Auditors of the Gymkhana. He proposed to house to re-appoint them as
Statutory Auditor for F.Y. 2015-2016 as they are rendering all services very
satisfactorily.
After discussion, the following resolution proposed by Shri Jayprakash Daftary (LM
1040) and seconded by Shri Mahendra Dedhia (LM 4535) was passed unanimously.
“RESOLVED THAT M/S. R. R. Shah & Associates Chartered Accountant be and hereby
re-appointed as Statutory Auditors of Gymkhana for F.Y. 2015-2016. The Managing
Committee be and hereby authorised to fix their remuneration.

2) Shri Manoj Ajmera expressed his pleasure for completing Annual General Meeting in
40 minutes. It is also a record for Gymkhana. He is expecting new DP plan and
gymkhana may get more FSI which will help in creating more facilities to the members.
3) Shri Haren Merchant suggested to open membership for members sons upto age of 25
years and unmarried daughters, so they should not go for transfer of membership. It
will be advantageous both to members and gymkhana. Chairman informed that
membership sub-committee will discuss and do the needful.
Hon. Secretary Shri Jitendra Zatakia informed that the Annual General Meeting held in
the month of August and concluded at 8.10 p.m. i.e. within 40 minutes. It is for the first
time in the history of Gymkhana. He thanked all the members for their co-operation
and support.
He also thanked chair and all the members present at the meeting and all persons and
agencies as mentioned on page 33 of Annual Report, who have helped Gymkhana
directly or indirectly in management, administration, activities and providing all
services.

SCHEDULE - 18SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES AND NOTES FORMING PART OF THE ACCOUNTS
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH, 20161) Significant accounting policies:
a) Life Membership Fees :The life membership fees and transfer of life membership fees received from members are credited to Corpus Fund on approval of membership by the Managing Committee.
b) Recognition of Income and Expenditure :Income and Expenditure are generally accounted on accrued basis . Expenditure on the objects of the trust includes maintenance expenditure incurred on respective activities.
c) Fixed Assets :Fixed Assets are stated at cost of acquisition including any attributable expenses for bringing the assets to its working condition less accumulated depreciation.
d) Method of Depreciation :The depreciation on fixed assets are provided on the written down value method at the rate prescribed under Income Tax Rules, 1962.
e) Investment : Longterm investments are stated at cost. When there is decline other than temporary in their value , the carrying amount is reduced in an indiviudal basis and decline is charged to Income & Expenditure account.Current investments, if any, are carried at lower of cost or market value.
f) Employees Benefits :1 Long Term Employee Benefits:(I) Defined Contribution Plans:
Provident FundThe gymkhana makes contribution to statutory provident fund in accordance with the Employees Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, which is a defined contribution plan & contribution paid or payable is recognized as an expense in the period in which services are rendered by the employee.
(ii) Defined Benefit Plans:GratuityThe Gymkhana provides for grautity obligation through a defined benefit retirement plan covering eligible employees. The gratuity plan provides a lumsum payment to vested employees at retirement or termination of employement based on the respective employee salary and year of employement with the gymkhana. The gymkhana provides for gratuity liability based on the acturial valuations in accordance with AS-15 Employee Benefits. The Gymkhana makes annual contributions to the LIC as per the scheme of Gratuity Plan.
2 Short Term Benefits:Expense in respect of other short term benefits is recognized on the basis of the amount
paid or payable for the period during which services are rendered by the employee.g) Inventory:
Considering the overall expenditure and the activities of the Gymkhana, the management has
decided to write off the items like playing cards, sport goods, stationery, consumables etc as

utilised during the year of purchase itself.h) Taxes on Income:
Provision for tax is made for both current and deferred taxes. Provisions for current income tax
is made at current tax rates based on assessable income. The Gymkhana provides for deferred
tax based on the tax effect of timing difference resulting from the recognition of items in the
financial statement and in estimating it's current tax provision. Deferred tax assets are
recognised if there is a reasonable certainty of realisation.2) In view of amendment made in section 2(15) of Income Tax Act 1961, the Gymkhana is regularly
paying the tax on its income and accordingly provision for taxation is made in accounts.3) Fixed Assets are physically verified by the management and it is informed that no
materials discrepancies have been noticed.4) The gymkhana has Gratuity Plan with the LIC to make the payment of gratuity to respective
employees at the time of his/her retirment or termination. The total acturial liability towards
gratuity upto 31/03/2016 has been determined at Rs.16.34 lakhs. The gymkhana has made
contribution to the LIC Gratuity Fund for which fair value of plan assets as at 31/03/2016 as
determined by the LIC is Rs.19.49 lakhs.5) Orders were placed at the best available price on the basis of quotations received for the
purchase of assets, materials, contracts and other items acquired during the year and
were approved by the Project Sub Committee, Trust Board and Managing Committee.6) The Mumbai Tribunal has passed an order in favour of the Gymkhana by restoring the 12AA
Certificate (Certificate for Charitable Trust) which was withdrawn by the Income Tax
Department. However the Income Tax Department has filed an appeal before the Mumbai High
Court against the Tribunal order and same is pending before the High Court.7) In the opinion of the Board of Trustees, the Current Assets, Loans and Advances are
approximately of the value stated if realised in ordinary course, The provision for all known
liabilities is adequate and not in excess of the amount reasonably necessary.8) The balances in the deposits accounts with various authorities are subject to confirmation.9) Accounts are prepared in prescribed forms as required under the provisions of Bombay Public
Trust Act, 1950. However for members, the same are presented in more lucid format.
10) Previous year figures have been regrouped, re-casted, re-arranged wherever necessary.
