GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The GfS e-Cover® is a tough polycarbonate hinged protective cover that can easily be installed over a range of emergency switches and other devices to provide protection from vandalism, accidental damage or misuse.The GfS e-Cover® can also be fi tted with an integral battery powered alarm, that when lifted emits an ear piercing 90 dB, warning the user that the device is for emergency use only and should not be tampered with.In its red form it is commonly installed over fi re alarm break glass call points to protect the break glass from deliberate misuse and this subse-quently reduces the incidents of false fi re alarms.

Stop the costs of false fi re alarms:• while fi remen are reacting on a false fi re alarm they cannot intervene in another maybe more urgent case• After a false fi re alarm the building has to be evacuated for quite a while.• Frequent false fi re alarms reduces the probability that people leave the building quickly in case of a real fi re Other applications for the GfS e-Cover® are:• protection of call point against humidity (e.g. swimming pools, meat factories, industrial sites) • protection of call point against accidental physical damage (e.g. sport gyms, industrial sites etc.)
