It takes 4 hours to fully charge and it can be used while it is charging

Once charged, it can last 8-10 hours

No need to save your place in each document/file

UNDERSTANDING ENHANCED NAVIGATION:

Enhanced navigation means there are sections built into files (electronic/digital books) to make it easier to locate parts of the book or textbook

These types of files are referred to as Digital Accessible Information System (DAISY) files

Unit 3 will cover the specifics of using DAISY file navigation

Page 5: GETTING TO KNOW YOUR BOOK PORT PLUS (BPP) GENERAL BOOK PORT PLUS (BPP) INFO BPP has two main functions: Digital/Audio player Digital recorder This

TYPES OF FILES STORED ON BPP

Text

-Electronic text, documents, .brf braille files,

web pages—that do not provide enhanced

navigation

-BPP provides the text navigation functions for

these files

Audio

-Music, podcasts and recordings with no

enhanced navigation

-BPP groups them into a single title and assigns

Title Navigation Commands (track to track)

Audio Books

-Books from Audible.com provides the

same navigation as Audio files, and

are grouped by title

DAISY

-Talking Book format that Provides

enhanced navigation

-BPP accepts two kinds: DAISY Text or

OR it means you are in a menu and the BPP is waiting for you to make a selection.
