Getting Started with XsedeEnd User Account Creation

• Go to https://portal.xsede.org

• Select SIGN IN

• Select CREATE ACCOUNT

• Create an account by filling in the appropriate information

• Select a REGISTRATION KEY of your choice and make note of it. This will be used later in the verification process

• You will receive a verification code after the previous form has been submitted

• Go back to the Xsedeportal https://portal.xsede.org

• Select SIGN IN• Select VERIFY ACCOUNT

• Enter your CMU email as follows

• YOUR_CMU_ID@andrew.cmu.edu

• For example, jshende1@andrew.cmu.edu

• Enter the REGISTRATION KEY you chose on the account creation form

• Enter the VERIFICATION CODE you received in the previous email

• Enter your USER NAME• It should match your

CMU ID. If that name is taken, append a digit.

• You will receive a confirmation email after your account is active

• Go back to https://portal.xsede.org

• Select SIGN IN• Login with your new

account
