Three kinds of tweetsRegular tweet (or message)

Just type what you want to say and hit ‘Tweet’

•Everyone can see your regular Tweets•Not directed at anyone in particular•Useful for “broadcasting” a message

Replies and mentionsType the @ symbol and someone’s name.

•Everyone can see replies•Your message shows up in the user’s ‘Mentions’ folder•Use when you want to publicly reply

Direct messagesUse the direct message area of Twitter
