2 Managing Products

When your school or district purchases additional digital products, you can add them to your account. Access the My Account page, and click Manage Products in the My Products area. The Manage Products window displays a list of products that your school or district is licensed to use. Products with a check mark have already been added to your account. If the checked products are greyed out, they have been associated with a class.

When you add products to your account, they automatically show up on your teacher Home page; however, there might be some occasions when you do not want them to appear on your Home page. The individual components for your product are listed below each product name. Some components are used by more than one product, so you will see them listed more than once. To hide a component, click Hide. If you would like to show the component again, click Show.

Click the Profile icon to access the My Account page.

3 Navigate the Home Page

When you log in, you will see your online Teacher’s Edition, Student Edition, and Other Resources across the top of the page in the My Teacher Resources section. If you have not yet created classes, the area under My Classes and Groups will be blank.

•  Under the Content tab, find links to the table of contents for your books, tests you can assign, a search feature to locate activities, and the leveled reader database.

•  The Planning tab provides you with a lesson planner, a list of the assignments you have given, a preference navigator to set up learning preferences for your students, and a link to your tests.

•  Under the Classes tab, you can build and manage classes.

•  On the Reports tab, you’ll have access to the assignments, lessons, and tests that you have assigned to your students. The reports of these scores are generated automatically.

4 Class Setup

The My Classes and Groups page displays all of the classes and groups that you have created.

To create a class, you need to enter some information.

•  The red asterisks (*) designate the required fields. Enter the name of your class or group.

•  If you use periods, enter the period number listed. Then, select the product you want to associate with this class by placing check marks in the appropriate boxes.

•  Once you have checked all the appropriate products, click Save. You have set up your first class.

Your class is now listed on the My Classes and Groups page. Just repeat this process to set up as many classes as you have. You can now use this section to quickly access information about lessons, activities, and tests that you assign to your classes.

To set up your first class, select the Classes tab and then click Create a class/group.

To add products to one or more classes and groups, click the boxes next to the component names and click Save.

5 Class Enrollment

Once you have set up classes and student accounts have been created, students can be enrolled into classes. Student accounts are shared across the designated Pearson Learning Platforms.

Teacher and student accounts are managed and shared by a central Pearson identity management service across Pearson platforms; such as Pearson SuccessNet® and Pearson RealizeTM. This centralized service saves valuable time by having a central administrator upload and manage accounts. Ask if your administrator will upload student accounts, teacher accounts, and class rosters.

Teacher and student accounts are shared across platforms. Therefore, it is recommended that administrators centrally upload and roster all teachers and students using Pearson EasyBridge.

To avoid creating duplicate student accounts, it is recommended that each district or school have an Easy Bridge administrator upload all students into the system. After uploading student accounts, they are available to all systems.

Then, teachers can add students to classes using one of the following methods:

•  Enroll students from the school roster.

•  Provide students with a class access code so students can self-enroll.

•  If your school does not have a Pearson SuccessNet® administrator, teachers can add students to classes using one of the following methods:

•  Upload a file that creates student accounts and enrolls students into the class.

•  Create student accounts manually which also enrolls students into the class.

6 Adding and Removing Products from Classes and Groups

When you enroll students into a class, each student consumes one license subscription for each product associated with the class. Once students are enrolled, they can access the program content when they sign in to Pearson SuccessNet®.

You can only remove products from your account that are not associated with a class. To change product components associated with a class, click the class name. Select the product components you want to associate with the class and click Save. Note: Deselecting product components removes all student progress data that is associated with the product.

Current and Expired Classes and Groups

If you select the Display expired classes/groups check box, the class list includes both current and expired classes. All classes and groups are Current by default. If classes appear in the class list that you will not use on Pearson SuccessNet, click the class name and change the status to Expired to remove the class from the list of active classes. To run reports on a class, it must be active. Note: Changing a class from Expired to Current makes the class active and product license subscriptions are reactivated.

To change the status of a class or group from Expired to Current:

•  On the My Classes and Groups page, click a class or group name to view the related details.

•  Click the Status radio button to Current to change the status of the class or group.

•  Click Save. The class or group now shows in the My Classes and Groups table.
