    Preparing Data

Verify piece placement rules are set so that AccuNest will make markerswith the restrictions your company would normally place on manualmarking. Check the LAY LIMITS. If the lay limits editor allows anoperator to tilt, flip, or rotate pieces, AccuNest will tilt, flip, or rotatepieces and will make markers that may not be acceptable for production.

AccuNest does what you allow it to do. If your lay limits editoris incorrect, the markers will be incorrect.

Installing the KeyAccuNest Professional Edition requires one security key and appropriateentries in you license file. AccuNest Expert Edition requires two securitykeys and appropriate entries in your license file. The keys should beattached to the nesting station. Attach the keys while the system ispowered off.

AccuMark system has queue submit or the nesting server installed.

Using UltraQueue allows multiple AccuMark systems to submit markersto the same nesting server. A network drive must be mapped on the

AccuMark system to allow the AccuMark to see and submit to thenesting queue. A drive may be mapped within the UltraQueue applicationfrom the Configure menu.

Note: Both client and server stations must have marker storageareas mapped to the same drive letter. For example, if a submittingpc has drive J mapped for storage areas, the server must also have thislocation mapped as J.

The default location for the queue file in a new installation isC:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GerberTechnology (Windows XP systems)

C:\ProgramData\Gerber Technology (Windows Vista systems)By Windows default, these are hidden folders. A system administratormay choose to show them. From Windows Explorer, select Tools>FolderOptions. Click the View Tab and select Show hidden files and folders.

UltraQueue InformationUltraQueue is the software for the AccuMark PC that is used to submitmarkers from one or more workstations to AccuNest.

Marker names are submitted to a queue file (.UMQ). UltraQueue willread the marker name and location from the queue file, retrieve themarker from storage, Nest it and then store the resulting marker to disk.UltraQueue will run in either a non-networked or networked environment. For non-networked environments all data has to be located on the stationwhere the UltraQueue and nesting software is installed. This stationmust also have AccuMark software installed.

Non-networkedIn a non-network environment, only one PC is involved. All software --marking system, UltraQueue and AccuNest is on the same PC.

Networked1.) A network involves two or more computers.2.) In a networked environment we follow the client/server concept.

3.) The client station is the PC that submits the markers. The serverstation is the PC that does the nest processing. You may installUltraQueue on any client that may need to submit markers to thequeue and has access to the marker storage areas on the network.

Note: Both client and server stations must have marker storage areasmapped to the same drive letter. For SQL storage areas, the drives mustbe mapped to the same drive number.
