Common Mistake #1 Wrong Audience

• Public Prayer Does Not Aim To Be Seen or Heard By Men.– Carefully Consider Your Purpose (Matthew 6:1-5)– Carefully Consider The Length (Mark 12:40)

• Christian Prayer Is Directed To God, Not A Performance or Mini-Sermon.– Choose Your Location Carefully. (Matthew 6:6)– Praise God Without Prodding People.

(1 Chronicles 29:10-20)

Common Mistake #2 Vain Repetition

• Repetition Becomes Meaningless When:– We put quantity over quality. (Matthew 6:7)– We parrot others without personal reflection.– We allow laziness to influence our heart.

(Colossians 4:2)– We forget what God already knows. (Matthew 6:8)

• “Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few.” (Ecclesiastes 5:2)
