Seward and the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area is served by the Blue Line LRT (light-rail transit) along Hiawatha Ave. and by buses all equipped with bike racks. 5 bus routes -- #2 & #67 ( Franklin Ave.), #7 (27th Ave.), #9 (25th St.), #22 (Cedar Ave.) --run through Seward. Express bus #53 runs along Lake St. to downtown St. Paul. From a smart phone use the OMG Transit app to find transportation options near you such as bus stops, bike rentals and on-demand car use.

Seward has bike trails, bike routes marked on streets, the learn-to-ride bike shop Spokes, and Nice Ride bike sharing stations. Find bike trails along the River, the 28th Street Midtown GreenWay, and along the Hiawatha Ave.

LRT tracks. Use a credit card at one of three Seward Nice Ride stations -- at Pizza Luce, Seward Co-op, Birchwood Café -- and ride in Minneapolis and St. Paul and then drop-off the bike at any station.
