If you are planning more than one class, please talk with us so we can look at hours needed to make sure you want to commit to that schedule

Books! Returning Spring EOPS Lending Library books – Please complete the
survey you received by email. We are planning either the week of finals or the week after to do an on-campus return system. We are working out the details for “non-contact” drive-up system.
Lending library for summer classes, please submit the online request form
Summer class books – The bookstore is doing online only and is currently not open. We are looking at options right now for the easiest solutions.
CalWORKs - we are working with DSS and the bookstore and should know more on June 1st. If you have a class that starts before then, please let us know ASAP!
DSPS books for Kurzweill software – order through AIM
Spring sell-back? We do not have an answer yet
CalWORKs Workstudy Updates Everyone currently working now should be automatically continued
through May. (No time sheet needs to be submitted) You must be enrolled for at least one unit in the summer to be
continued past May.
Right now we are approved to continue this way through June 30th
We should know more soon for July – What we do know… HR renewals (for July 1st) will be online – more info soon
No on-campus placements in the summer
Remote possibilities (such as tutoring)
We believe that we will have CalWORKs funds to continue July but not sure what that would look like yet
Spring grading option updates:(EW / P/NP / I)
The deadline to drop with a W has been extended to May 15th (You can still request an EW after May 15th but you would need to submit a “COVID19 grade change form”)
Any W recorded between March 4, 2020 and May 15, 2020 will automatically be converted to an EW
P/NP – may opt for P/NP for any Spring 2020 class until May 15th (A, B or C is a Pass)
Grade Change Petitions – available through June 12(Can request an A, B or C changed to a Pass or D, F or NP changed
to an EW) - AUTOMATIC approval through June 12th!
Resources for Spring Classes Library is open 8-5 Mon-Fri and 12 – 4 on Saturdays

Free Drop-In Tutoring:Check out the tutoring schedule and enter through Canvas/Zoom to work with your tutor.
One on One Tutoring Appointments:45 mins sessions for math and writing help. Limit one appointment per person per day. Appointments need to be made 1 day in advance. Sign up through the Student Success Center Canvas Course.
Faculty Review Sessions:Specific final review sessions will be held in breakout rooms in the Student Success Center Zoom lobby. Check with your faculty on dates/times.
Virtual Zoom Study Rooms:Start prepping for finals and form your study group. Virtual rooms with no time limit are available the week BEFORE finals and FINALS week for group work. Sign up through the Student Success Center Canvas Course.
Virtual Library:Chat or Zoom with a librarian. Get help with locating scholarly sources, credible websites and streaming videos. Find free sources for your research paper, speech or project. Plus learn how to properly cite what you used.Chat with a librarianLibrary zoom schedule
Laptops & HotSpots: The library is open for returns (8-5 Mon-Fri & Saturday 12-4)
We are working on non-contact returns for CalWORKs laptops and other borrowed equipment

We plan to do another CaFE Chrome Book Scholarship to win a brand new Chrome Book!

The governor announced a new portal to help parents find safe and licensed child care providers in their area. MyChildCare.ca.gov provides an interactive map of qualified licensed child care providers, and the tool is available in English and Spanish.

Items from Discussion:• DSPS – You can send your letters through AIM now for summer classes
(assuming you have registered) and after the Spring semester ends, you can send your letters for Fall 2020.
• Summer PHYS lab will be in person for a student (per instructor)
• Hearing discussions about departments going fully online (English is in talks)
• Registration – wondering about overlapping times for classes if end up being online will the system restrict registration? (checking)
• Will CalFresh be doing an EA payment in June as well? (checking)
• LVN program suspended until August of 2021 (official letter received by student from the department)
