Moving to a new home is one of life’s most exciting events. Whether it’s your first home, your first family home or the home you hope to live in for years to come, it can be a great opportunity for change. Naturally, you’ll want it to be a change for the
better; and that’s exactly what Crest Nicholson
offers at The Beeches. This collection of 3, 4 and
5 bedroom homes has something for all buyers,
in a wooded landscaped setting that’s also
conveniently close to the popular town
of Haywards Heath.
There’ll be interesting places to discover,
fresh views to admire and new friendships
to forge. You’ll benefit too from the many
advantages, both economic and environmental,
of living in a brand new sustainable home.
GET READY FOR AN EXCITING CHANGE
MAKE A FRESH START
AT THE BEECHES
The Haywards Heath area is something of a magnet for new home buyers. It’s an ideal combination of natural assets, modern town amenities, good connections and a thriving, diverse community.
Crest Nicholson knows this part of the
world well; and that’s why we are delighted
to offer customers a new range of attractive,
sustainable new homes at The Beeches,
about half a mile from the town centre.
This is a new development where homes and
landscaping work in harmony with each other.
Architecturally, the properties reflect local,
traditional styles, and inside, they demonstrate
that Crest Nicholson has its finger on the
pulse when it comes to desirable
contemporary design.
The internal specification also includes
the most up-to-date fixtures and fittings,
energy efficient appliances and high levels
of insulation, so you’ll enjoy a home that
looks beautiful while being easy and
inexpensive to run.
Remember too, that as it’s a brand new
home, there’s no need to worry about
repairs, redecorating or renovations;
the big expenses that can take away
all the enjoyment of a house move.
New homes are built to ever more stringent
standards and have a 10 year warranty.
And a new home from Crest Nicholson
takes those standards higher still.
Typical Crest Nicholson interior
At Crest Nicholson we put a high value on sustainable development. Every home we build is designed to have a low carbon footprint, save energy and money, and encourage householders to adopt more sustainable ways of living.
New homes, such as those at The Beeches,
include the appliances and technologies that,
typically, make them 65% more energy efficient
and 30% more water efficient than the average
period property. At The Beeches we have
achieved this by specifying A+ rated kitchen
appliances, low energy lighting and electrical
fittings, low-flow water appliances, and highly
efficient condensing boilers.
LIVING MORE SUSTAINABLY,
INDOORS AND OUTThe development itself can help you to lead
a more sustainable lifestyle. Although every
property has at least one parking space,
there are shops and facilities within walking
distance, and The Beeches is served by bus
routes, with every home no further than
400 metres from a bus stop.
We have also incorporated several pedestrian
and cycle links to make it easier and safer to
get around in greener ways. They are at key
positions, such as the new relief road and
into neighbouring Bolnore Village.
Typical Crest Nicholson interiorTypical Crest Nicholson interior
The Beeches enjoys a peaceful location in the High Weald countryside. This is the English landscape at its best, with rolling terrain sweeping towards the white cliffs of the south coast, and is deservedly an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Immediately around The Beeches you’ll see
many of the features that characterise this
part of the world. Densely wooded ghylls such
as Kiln Wood and Catts Wood, and an ancient
tapestry of farmland and hedgerows make
up much of the views. Just outside town,
you’ll be able to explore even more natural
beauty, such as that of Ashdown Forest and
the South Downs, as well as the many pretty
villages that are scattered across the regions.
LIVE SURROUNDED BY NATURAL BEAUTYWe have brought the natural environment into
The Beeches in several ways. Mature woodland
forms a boundary to the development,
encouraging wild plants and creatures in line
with good environmental principles. Between
the houses there is ample green space, newly
planted with native species. There are play
areas for young children, jogging paths,
and seating for residents to relax and chat.
It all means that you have the feeling
of ‘the great outdoors’ just a few paces
from your home, a wonderful
environment for all to enjoy.
The Orchards is the main retail centre,
containing Boots, Marks & Spencer, Next
and many more familiar brands. For eating
out or enjoying a drink, you’ll probably head
for The Broadway, where most of Haywards
Heath’s restaurants and bars can be found.
Younger residents can have fun in the local
parks: Beech Hurst Gardens has a model
railway and a playground, while Victoria Park
provides a paddling pool and Xtreme Action
zone for BMX-ing, blading and boarding.
The town has two leisure centres, Olympos
and The Dolphin, where you can swim, work
out in the gym, play sports such as basketball
and squash, and both are very welcoming to
families with young children.
And on the subject of children, parents
will be pleased to know that nearly all the state
schools in Haywards Heath have an Ofsted
‘Good’ rating. Those close to The Beeches
include Bolnore Village Primary, St Joseph’s
RC Primary, Warden Park Primary Academy
and Oathall Community College, with Central
Sussex College for over-16s on the north side
of town. There are some excellent independent
schools in the vicinity too: Ardingly College,
Worth School and Hurstpierpoint College,
to name just a few.
Haywards Heath offers a multitude of shops,
restaurants and places to enjoy sport and leisure.

LONDON BRIDGE
However you want to travel, at The Beeches you’re good to go.
Rail travellers have a choice of three stations,
all within two miles of The Beeches. Haywards
Heath, Wivelsfield and Burgess Hill are all on
the London to Brighton line and Thameslink,
with connections at Gatwick Airport and
East Croydon along the way.
Typical travel times from Haywards Heath are:
London Bridge 47 minutes, London Victoria
45 minutes, London Blackfriars 58 minutes,
Farringdon 65 minutes, London St Pancras
International 69 minutes, Gatwick Airport
12 minutes, Brighton 15 minutes and
East Croydon 25 minutes.
The 39 bus service runs along Rocky Lane to
the town centre and Haywards Heath station,
and its route is being altered to run through
The Beeches, with bus stops no further
than 400 metres from every house.
Haywards Heath is also well located for road
travel, with links on the A23/M23 to London,
Crawley, Brighton, Gatwick and the M25.
The new relief road, just north of The Beeches,
has made local travel much easier by helping
to avoid rush hour queues.
Distances and travel times taken from googlemaps.co.uk and nationalrail.co.uk and are approximate in minutes
N
At The Beeches, buyers have a wide range of house types to choose from, with the option of 3, 4 & 5 bedrooms. This is a low density development, so there is ample green space between the houses, and all have private gardens too. The tree-lined boulevard, running through the development provides a character area of its own and also links the open spaces. As you can see, the other roads within the development are also gently curving; this allows for traffic calming and makes The Beeches a safe and peaceful place for every resident.
