BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra’s Academy is the place to Get Inspired, Get Involved and Take It On.There will be FREE practical workshops on fashion, music, film, radio, gaming & programming, journalism, comedy and business.

You’ll also get the chance to put questions to people who have already made it, as well as finding out more from those who are just starting out.

It’s a place to get real advice from those that know, including Plan B, Labrinth, Leona Lewis, Adam Deacon, Ashley Walters, Jamal Edwards plus many, many more including the DJs from BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra.

You could end up producing a short film shown at Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend, design a T-shirt sold on the festival site, produce a show on Radio 1Xtra, write a piece published in a national newspaper and a whole range of other incredible opportunities.
