Mosaics with Paulawith Paula KeithPick up skills in this exciting, direct application form of glassart by making a stained glass mosaic stepping stone you canuse to integrate color into your garden, craft table tops,benches, pots and other works. You can learn to add ceramicpieces, beads, baubles and personal findings. Your morningsession will cover cutting, shaping, grinding and setting. Yourlunch hour allows the glue to set and your afternoon sessionwill be spent grouting and finishing your work. This is a mixedskill level class. Using a beginner’s pattern, you can learn toadapt patterns for mosaic use, score, break, snip and grindglass pieces. Advanced glass cutters can choose a more diffi-cult pattern if desired. Mosaic Glass Block Lampwith Paula KeithThis advanced class is intended for those who have mosaicexperience. You will use an 8-inch by 8-inch predrilled glassblock, twinkle lights and a stand as the basis for a custom cre-ated mosaic lamp. Based on your skill level, you will be able tochoose one design for each side of your lamp. In your morn-ing session you will be taping, pattern cutting, glass cutting,grinding and setting. After lunch, you will work on the grout-ing process. You must bring cutting tools and your choice ofcloudy and/or opaque glass. Your glass has to be opaqueenough to block the details of the twinkle lights behind thestained glass. All other class materials are included. Closed toeshoes and old clothes that can get dirty are recommended. Eyeprotection is required. Prerequisite: Mosaics with Paula. Mosaic Heartwith Paula KeithThis advanced class offers another opportunity for you tocontinue building your mosaic skills. You will use a 12-inchprefinished wooden heart as the foundation for your customcreation. There will not be a pattern. You will view websitesand Paula will provide visuals and inspirational pieces forstarter ideas. You will complete only one side of this project. Itis to be displayed only indoors. Your morning session will beglass cutting, grinding and setting of all pieces. After lunch,you will work on the grouting process. You must bring yourpersonal cutting tools and choice of glass and supplies. Terroir in Southeast Arizona’s Wine Countrywith Glenn MinuthWhat does terroir really mean? This course features a pre-triplecture briefing the evening before you depart. Discussionwill cover the difference among American Viticultural Areas(and their other international counterparts). You can learnabout wine terroir concepts specifically related to the SulphurSprings Valley vineyards and compare them to French and Argentine proxy locations. Monica Medina fancies using a mixture of spices, techniques, and flavors toinvent tasteful masterpieces, and she loves to cook, bake, and take on imagi-native ideas when it comes to food. As a mother of two Monica strives to include healthy and resourceful options for her children.

Monica earned her Associates at Cochise College through the Culinary pro-gram and dedicated five years to finding her own style of cooking and dec-orating. Her main focus in the culinary field is cake decorating. She enjoysthe entire process from planning, to prepping, to executing something herclient envisioned. She pushes the boundaries to design something innova-tive and daring. Her passion began when she was asked to make a detailedbirthday cake for a friend. Monica says, "seeing the excitement and happi-ness people get from my food is what I strive for."

Neil Gago has been the primary instructor for the Center for Lifelong Learning Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS),American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health-care Providers, and American Heart Association Heart-saver First Aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillator(AED) for about 12 years. His combined experience inmedical services is 29 years. Within those 29 years, he hasbeen a paramedic, EMT instructor and a flight paramedic.

Neil teaches because he once heard that knowledge isnot knowledge until you share it. Wow! What a reason tolove what you do and do what you love!

Neil is married and has two children. But, he has two granddaughters that havestolen his heart.

Matt Brown grew up in Murray, Kentucky before earning aBachelor’s of Music Performance from the New EnglandConservatory of Music followed by a Juris Doctorate fromArizona State University. After a brief career playing horn in orchestras and a decade practicing law as managing part-ner of a small criminal defense firm in Tempe, Arizona, Mattdecided to move to Cochise County and take his home-brewing hobby to the next level. He started TombstoneBrewing Company in 2016. Since it opened, TombstoneBrewing Company has won numerous accolades for its ex-ceptional beers, including a gold medal from the BeverageTesting Institute for its Amber Lager and a ranking in early2017 as one of Untappd’s top 50 breweries in the world.Tombstone Brewing Company produces a wide variety ofbeers that are available throughout Arizona and in other select marketsthroughout the United States.

Classes that do not meet the minimum student requirement will be cancelled before the actual class date. Register early to ensure theclass you desire to take will be a go.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning reserves the right to cancel course offerings with a fullrefund. Full refunds will be given to students who provide CLL with their cancellation notice five business days prior to the class start date unlessthere is a specific cancellation policy for that class. A $10 cancellation fee will be charged for late cancellations. See cancellation policies foreach class at the end of the course description.
