Your Files

Saving Files on The Network

You have been allocated space on the network to save your files to. Initially this is limited to 500Mb but may be extended if you enquire at the IT Services Helpdesk.

Any files you save in this area are accessible on any computer on campus. All files are also backed up by IT Services so it is a safer way of keeping files than on other media such as USB sticks or external hard disks. Old versions of your files may also be available if for any reason you want to revert back to an old version of a document.

From any IT suite computer:

Save your files in the My Documents folder

You can also access your files remotely from any Internet connected computer. Please see the Using Your Own Computer section in this guide.
