Get a piece of patty paper and a straight edge
2. Fold the paper on a side of the triangle whose vertex is part of the right angle
1. On the patty paper, create a right triangle.
3. Trace 4. Mark the congruent sides and angles
An Iscoceles Triangle has AT LEAST 2 sides that are congruent
Notice how the angles that are across from the congruent sides are also congruent.
It also works backwards…. The sides across from congruent angles are also congruent
A special Iscoceles Triangle is an Equilateral Triangle
What can we say about the angles in an equilateral triangle?
The angles are all congruent and they are all 60o
