The Compact Fire Starter makes it easy to always have it with you as it combines a sleek new design with a smaller size, making ideal for attaching to your keychain or backpack. The simple, 2-piece design makes using it in the cold or with gloves on a breeze. The ferrocerium rod produces the high quality, fire starting sparks you need when it matters most. Made of durable anodized aluminum with a textured rubber grip, the Compact Fire Starter can take some abuse and still deliver. With an IPX4 rating, even if you get caught in a downpour, you won’t have to worry about your fire starter failing you.

The all in one survival tool. The Card Tool has everything you need for survival in the wild, or in the city. The rugged, steel backed construction is the first indication that this Card Tool isn’t like the rest. With a water-resistant L.E.D., metric and standard rulers and a bottle opener all usable without pulling anything out, the card tool means business. The fixed blade, fine edge easily slides out of the tool to reveal a lightweight knife with an ergonomic finger hole for easy use. At the opposite end, 3 tools are securely held in place. Phillips and standard screw drivers are there for those just in case moments while a compact ferrocerium rod provides the spark needed to get your fire going. Using the back edge of the knife, that ferrocerium rod comes to life and produces the sparks needed. And just like that, all the tools slide back into the card and in your pocket it goes, until the next use.

Quick access to your knife can be the difference between life and death. The Scout AO takes that to heart, and features an assisted opening blade that is one-hand operable. Using Gerber’s F.A.S.T. 2.0 technology, the Scout AO implements both a plunge lock and a safety lock. The next generation of survival pocket knives, the Compact Scout II builds off of the original to make it the best survival pocket knife we’ve ever made. The most notable change is a more robust handle with a rubber overmold and a prominent finger cut out for easy use. The full fine edge blade, made of 420HC, is made in Portland OR and features a nail nick to assist in opening. With finger jimping on the top of the blade, the grippy rubber overmold and the ergonomic handle design, the Compact Scout won’t slip away when you need it most and conditions get rough. The lock back mechanism keeps the knife safely open during use but is easy to close, even while wearing gloves. The lanyard hole gives extra flexibility in carrying options. This is Bear’s new choice for a back-up survival knife.
