George Washington’s lesson

Approxiametly 2,500 American soldiers died in the war that took place in Valley Forge that year. Why? Yes, these men loved freedom. But according to historian David McCollough, it was mainly their respect and love for Washington. They would go anywhere with him and do anything for him. They knew how much Washington cared for them and how he put himself in trouble’s way.

George Washington beliefs

He believed in his men meaning, before he thought for himself he always had the trust to his men and gave them a chance to give him a solution or an option in other words what did they have in opinion. George Washington was known as a man that was really easy to listen to and it seemed as if he shined in front of all of his soldiers and every men follows him because they desired to be just like him. He treated others with the utmost respect, he treated the lowest private with the dignity and respect. Washington never treated someone less unless it was the enemy, obviously! Along with respect he also had expectations from his men, as in, I believe in you, but if there is no consistent response in terms of guidance and discipline, eventually if he didnt put any discipline he would lose all edge of leaders power.
