The project’s findings were systematically presented in the two respective papers on
organizational politics published in international peer-reviewed journals, as mentioned

1. European Social Fund and the Greek Ministry of Employment and Social Protection. A

multi-partners project Equal-ASPIDDA. Funding for research on general population’s
perceptions of, and views on trafficking in Greece, as well as on the appropriate policy
measures to alleviate the victims and facilitate labour integration:Prof. Aristides Hatzis
(principal investigator), Aspasia Tsaoussi, George Gotsis, Zoe Kortezi (members), 2006-2007,
for the Department of the History and Philosophy of Science, University of Athens. Prof.
Gotsis was in charge of the fieldwork conducted during Fall 2006- Spring 2007.
2. European Social Fund and the Greek Ministry of Development/ General Secretariat of
Research and Technology (GSRT). Fund for project PENED 2003 supporting four PhD
candidates, entitled: “Economic behaviour, efficiency, and welfare: institutional, moral and
social dimensions” Code No: 03 ΕD 473, 70/3/8377). Coordinator the Prof. Emeritus Petros
Gemtos, 2006-2010. Prof. Gotsis was involved in the project as a member of the consulting
committee of two doctoral candidates preparing their PhD thesis on the various ethical
issues associating with equal employment opportunities/ gender discrimination (Chrysanthi
Makri), and corporate social responsibility (Ilias Nikoloulis). The dissertations were
sucessfully presented before two examining committees on June 29 and 28, 2010 respectively.
3. European Social Fund and the Greek Ministry of Education. Fund for project
PYTHAGORAS II on the religious antecedents and ethical foundations of entrepreneurial
beliefs and value=systems, Code No: 70/3/7955. Coordinator the Prof. Emeritus Petros
Gemtos, G. Gotsis member of research team, 2005-2007. Prof Gotsis was actively involved in
the realization of the project’s goals and objectives in many aspects (design, implementation,
role division among various participants). His four papers on entrepreneurship and
religious/ spiritual culture mentioned above (see, section B, publications in peer-reviewed
international journals), were ultimately an integral part of this overall research endeavour.
4. European Social Fund/Greek Ministry of Education.Fund for project Herakleitos I
centred on the financial support of doctoral candidate, Ioanna Lekea. Coordinator, the Prof.
Emeritus Michael Vellas, 2002-2004, Code No: 70/3/7170.Prof. Gotsis participated in the
project as a member of the dissertation consulting committee.
5. European Social Fund and the Greek Ministry of Development/General Secretariat of
Research and Technology (GSRT).Fund for a project EPET II on the principles, values and
ethical norms underlying the contemporary Greek entrepreneur’s personality, motivation
and decision-making Code No: 70/3/4400. The second part of the research consisted in
exploring the clergy’s perceptions of the role of entrepreneur in the economic processes.
Coordinator the Prof. Emeritus Petros Gemtos, 1999-2001. Prof. Gotsis participated in the
field work conducted by the project’s team, and prepared a paper summarizing main
findings that was published in the The Greek Review of Social Research (Epitheoresi Koinwnikwn
Ereunwn), Vol. 111/112 (2003), pp.291-326 (in Greek).

University of Athens. Fund for a project concerning the historical formation of the modern
European university’s organizational culture and identity. Prof. Gotsis participated in the
project’s team (1998-1999, he summarized and discussed main findings in his publication in
the Greek Political Science Review (Ellenike Epitheoresi Politikes Epistemes), Vol 15 (2000), pp.99-
