Organize the terms with the correct notation and picture (diagram).

Once your group believes they are finished, have Mr. Myers check the organization of your cards.

Once you have been given the okay, fill in the vocabulary chart. LEAVE THE DEFINITION SECTION BLANK we will do that part together as a class.

What is a Postulate? A statement that is accepted to be true without any proof.

What are Common Notions? Logical statements we all generally take for granted (ex: a whole is greater than a part).

Euclid's first postulate is

Through any two points there is exactly one line.

Foldable: Postulate #1

Page 14: Geometry Mr. Myers 8/29(A) & 9/2(B). Look at the picture at the right. List as many geometric terms as you can think of that are represented in the photo

Through any three noncollinear points there is exactly one plane containing them.

Foldable: Postulate #2

Page 15: Geometry Mr. Myers 8/29(A) & 9/2(B). Look at the picture at the right. List as many geometric terms as you can think of that are represented in the photo

If two points lie in a plane, then the line containing those points lies in the plane.

Foldable: Postulate #3
