What are we trying to achieve?

We want to look at:

-Geography Curriculum from year 7-9

-Teaching Techniques in terms of better

preparing students for GCSE and IB

• Aims at making sure that techniques used are relevant

to syllabus

• Compare to learning objectives suggested by IBO

Timeline:

Presentation to teachers: 30th March

Week starting 16th April: Begin class observations and

send out questionnaires to students

Week starting 23rd April: Continue observations

Week starting 6th May: Collate results, identify positive

aspects and areas for improvement

May/June: Write a proposal finalizing ideas to present to

teachers

Aim: To write a successful article regarding

what geography means from a student

viewpoint and in particular, the experience of

geography student in Hong Kong.
