Temperatures vary little throughout the year  the average daily temperature range of Jakarta is 26–30 °C (79–86 °F).

Cultures

Indonesia has around 300 ethnic groups, each with cultural identities developed over centuries, and influenced by Indian, Arabic, Chinese, and European sources.

 Traditional Javanese and Balinese dances, for example, contain aspects of Hindu culture and mythology, as do wayang kulit (shadow puppet) performances.

Cuisine

Indonesian cuisine varies by region and is based on Chinese, European, Middle Eastern, and Indian precedents.

Rice is the main staple food and is served with side dishes of meat and vegetables.

Borobudur Temple

Borobudur is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist monument near Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia.

The monument comprises six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues

It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984

Borobudur is still used for pilgrimage; once a year Buddhists in Indonesia celebrate Vesak at the monument, and Borobudur is Indonesia's single most visited tourist attraction.

National Monument of Indonesia The National

Monument is a 433 ft (132 meter) tower in the center of Merdeka Square,Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia’s independence.

Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno and the monument was opened to the public in 1975.

It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil.

Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot is a rock formation off the Indonesian island of Bali. It is home of a pilgrimage temple

To reach the temple, visitors must walk through a carefully planned set of Balinese market-format souvenir shops which cover each side of the path down to the sea.

Bunaken National Park

The Bunaken National Park is a marine park in the north of Sulawesi island

The park provides habitat to 390 species of coral as well as many fish, mollusc, reptile and marine mammal species.

The Park is representative of Indonesian tropical water ecosystems, consisting of seagrass plain, coral reef, and coastal ecosystems.

Komodo Island

Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands and forms part of the Komodo National Park.

It is Famous for its huge population of Komodo Dragon,the largest living species of lizard, growing to an average length of 2 to 3 metres (6.6 to 9.8 ft) and weighing around 70 kilograms (150 lb)

The island is also a popular destination for diving
