Geographical Location of the Nanxi District

The Nanxi District is located at the north-eastern tip of Tainan City. It has the Dongshan District and Dapu Township of Chiayi County to its north; Nanhua District to its east; Liujia and Danei Districts to its west; and it connects to Yujing District to its south. Taiwan’s largest reservoir, the Zengwen Reservoir, is located on the border of Nanxi District and Dapu Township. This area is the end-tail of the Alishan Range. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides, with Tai-bu-long Basin at its center, and has a tropical monsoon climate. Agriculture and tourism serve as its primary industries.

By Car: From Tainan City, take Provincial Highway 20 through Xihua District, Zuozheng District, Yujing District, and then take Provincial Highway 3 to Nanxi.

By Car: From the North (National Highway 1. Chiayi → Expressway 82) → National Highway 3 → Expressway 84 → Yujing → Provincial Highway 3 to Nanxi.

By Car: From South (National Highway 1. Tainan → National Highway 8) → National Highway 3 → Expressway 84 → Yujing → Provincial Highway 3 to Nanxi.
