Ikecho Pearls specialise in providing quality and creatively designed jewellery, using precious pearls from around the world.

We provide a full range of pearl jewellery, including individual strands, loose pearls and jewellery set in a range of gold and silver plus fashion pieces utilising leather and stainless steel. Each piece features unique pearls from Australian South Sea, Tahitian, Japanese Akoya, Australian and Indonesian Mabe and Chinese Freshwater.

We provide special orders to suit your customer’s needs. Most jewellery can be custom made utilising any pearl variety, metals (yellow, white and rose gold), sizes and lengths. To find out more speak to your local representative or call our head office.

We always strive to bring you the best quality pearls, although as they are a naturally produced gemstone each pearl is unique. Therefore there will be slight variations in size, shape, lustre and colour.

Special order items, or limited stock items may take 4-8 weeks for delivery.

All Ikecho jewellery is covered by a 12 month warranty against any manufacturing faults. We are unable to provide warranty on altered, misused or general wear and tear items. All returns must be delivered to our head office within a 7 day period from date of invoice. Exchanges and refunds are not offered on special orders or promotional items.

The name Ikecho was chosen as it is believed it was the first freshwater mussel used to cultivate pearls in Japan, Erica wanted her company to be thought of as the home of freshwater pearls in Australia. I can’t believe I have been in business for now 19 years, I have seen the industry change so much since I started in 1999.

In this catalogue, I have included all of our proven best sellers and have introduced a lot of new beautiful pieces to our collection.

Pearls are remarkably durable and can maintain their exquisite lustre for many generations, however it is important to remember that pearls are an organic gem that require and will respond to special care.

Ideally, any makeup and hair products should be applied before you put your pearls on. Pearls are porous,therefore contact with moisturisers, sunscreens and deodorants should be avoided as it can, overtime, dull their lustre and cause marks and spots. Also avoid spraying any perfume where you intend to wear your pearls.

Be sure to store your pearls away from other jewellery items to avoid being scratched or marked. It is also recommended not to store your pearls in coloured boxes or pouches for long periods as they can absorb the colour.

The best way to care for your pearls is to wear them often as the body’s natural oils tend to keep them lustrous, however always avoid playing sports as perspiration can dull lustre on the pearl. Also avoid swimming, showering, or any contact with chlorinated water while wearing your pearls.

If worn often, wipe your pearls with a soft damp cloth, there is no need for commercial, ultrasonic orsteam cleaning solutions, your pearls will react naturally to a chemical-free clean. It is recommended to have your pearl strands re-threaded often to avoid broken thread as over time and when worn often, the thread can become frail.

inserting one bead into the mussel tissue of the oyster.
