Paper templates make it easy to design your own wall collagePhoto display walls are a great way to add a personal touch to any room. The best part is designing the layout – choose pieces that will balance each other out in weight and color when they’re hung together. Once you’ve selected your photos, cut paper templates in sizes of the photo wall décor you want to use (paper bags work great – avoid using newspaper as it can mark your wall), tape the templates up with blue painters tape and play around with the collage design before you get the hammer out!

Genevieve’s HP Photo Wall Décor Tips & Tricks

Using photo wall decor to enhance your home’s existing décorOne of the most important tips is to make sure your photo wall décor enhances and fits the existing décor of your room. You want the photos to stand out, but not for the wrong reasons. Think about what types of photos would fit in each room. For instance, vintage or wedding photos in the master bedroom, or a family portrait in the living room. Also, integrate different pieces of furniture including existing art, clocks, mirrors, shelving, etc., to create a cohesive design that fits the décor of your house.

Multi-Image photo wall decor makes it easy to tell a storyAnother new photo wall décor option from HP that I’m having fun designing with is the new Multi-Image Photo Canvas, which features a “hero” image as the background and has small insets where you can display other photos on top of the hero image. Tell a story with your photos. For example, use a picture of your child as the main image and fill the photo insets with his/her pictures over time, leading up to the focal image. Depending on the template you choose, the number of images may vary, with a maximum of five.

It’s fun to update your walls more often using affordable photo wall decorThe new wall décor options from HP are really affordable, starting at around $9, which makes it possible to update the décor of your room and walls often. Change up the décor depending on the season or holiday. You can also create new décor as your kids grow up and new family portraits are taken.
