GENERAL STUDIES (INTEGRATED) for UPSC CSE-2021

COURSE PLAN

GS Integrated (GSI) is a comprehensive

classroom program which prepares aspirants

holistically for the Civil Services Exam.

The following plan illustrates our pedagogy,

format of classes and related coursework

which will be delivered to all students across

the two levels of our General Studies

Integrated (GSI) course. Schedule of classes

will be available on the commencement date,

after the orientation class.

+ FOUNDATION & CURRENT

AFFAIRS CLASSES (~ 700 HRS)

Besides lectures and talks on all the themes of

the syllabus, the GSI program will include the

following delivered through our Learning

Management System – elearn.rauias.com.

SELF PACED LEARNING VIDEOS

Daily DNS videos: The Hindu Newspaper

Analysis.

Monthly Focus Videos: Holistic coverage of

current affairs from all sources like PIB, other

newspapers and magazines, etc.

TESTS

Foundation Tests for Prelims and Mains

will be released every Saturday after the

completion of first theme.

Prelims & Mains Test Series (Thematic

Tests) will be released in the second half of

Level 1 after completion of major themes.

Exam Room: All tests can be given online at

any time as well as offline in pen and paper

format from any of the Rau’s IAS campuses

on any day in the week between 10 am and 6

pm.

DOUBTS SOLVING

Doubs can be asked within and after classes

as well as using the class discussion forum on

elearn.rauias.com

+ QIP CLASSES/VIDEOS FOR PRELIMS REVISION (~ 60 HRS)

CLASSES/VIDEOS

Quality Improvement Program (QIP) classes

will be conducted after completing all

foundation classes - between one and two

months before Prelims.

They will cover all themes important for

Prelims; will be prepared using Rau’s C3

approach (core – current - related

concepts) and include practice MCQs after

every theme.

QIP classes will also be available as videos for

students to be able to revise from them any

number of times.

TESTS

Prelims Test Series (Full-Length Tests)

will be conducted.

STUDY MATERIAL & DOUBT SOLVING

Prelims Compass books (study material

of QIP classes) for speedy revision.

All books will also be available in PDF

format on elearn.rauias.com.

Doubts can be asked in classes or later

using the discussion forum made specifically

for QIP Prelims.

+ QIP CLASSES FOR MAINS REVISION (~150 HOURS)

CLASSES/VIDEOS

QIP Mains classes will be conducted within 3 months

between Prelims and Mains.

Focus of the classes will be Answer Writing &

Question Discussion

Actual class recording (videos) will be made available

for students who wish to self-study from home.

TESTS & DOUBT SOLVING

Mains Test Series (Full-Length

Tests) will be conducted.

Doubts can be asked during the

classes or even later using the

discussion forum made specifically

for Mains QIP classes.

To be paid lump sum at the time of enrolment.

Fee is inclusive of GST, as applicable.
