How long has FCCLA been around?

• Was previously known as Future Homemakers of America (FHA) from 1945-1999

• Name changed nationally in 1999 to FCCLA

The Eight Purposes

Eight Purposes1.) To provide opportunities for personal

development and preparation for adult life 2.) To strengthen the function of the family as a

basic unit of society 3.) To encourage democracy through cooperative

• State Level– State Officers and Support Staff

• District Level– 14 Regions in Kentucky, numbered 1-15

• South Warren High School is an Intra-Curricular chapter, meaning that FCCLA activities that are integrated into the classroom as much as possible.

• FCCLA activities are utilized to enhance course content.

• Membership is renewed each year!
