Round bars with one or several holes, straight or twisted, of high-speed steel, special steel,

stainless steel and titanium alloys. Outside diameter: from 2 to 65 mm Inside diameter: from 1/20 to 1/2 of outside diameter. Wide variety of geometries and hole positions.

High pressure and hydraulics

Our hollow bars are used as very thick wall tubes capable of taking up extreme pressure and envir onmental conditions (pr obes for tube hydroforming, HP hydraulics, transport of corrosive liquids, probes or bodies for fluid passage, optical fibers or cabling, i n j ec t i on pa r t s , e t c . ) . Many applications are found, for instance in aeronautics, automotive, chemical, nuclear, chemistr y or agro-food industries.

Mechanical engineering :

Our hollow bars can be used as components to replace drilled or bored parts in particular for long pieces. There are many potential applications: cannulated screws and parts, pump housings, machine tool components, wire guides, pins, mandrels.

Other applications to tooling concern stamping tools, punches, tubular ejectors, plastic extrusion pins, tool-holders, etc.

ASP 2030 This grade combines great hardness with excellent toughness. Tool life is increased and reliability improved.

Contains 8.5% cobalt. Ideal choice for the production of high performance cutting tools : drills, taps, end mills.

Erasteel « Powder » grade with high tungsten content (10.5%) and high cobalt content (8%) offering wear resistance

ASP 2052 Particularly suitable for manufacturing end mills and taps.

Unless mentioned specifically, all our bars are supplied in annealed condition. Caution: the sizes given in this catalogue correspond in each case to sizes delivered for the main grade of a given range. Slight variations in size between different grades may occur within the same range. However, in general, these variations are less than 1/10th of a millimeter. Our written proposals will be sent to you with the precise sizes of the products in which you are interested.



Hollow bars with one or several holes for industrial applications

The Forécreu process is capable of producing a wide range of hollow bars to different geometries. As

a complement to our standard processes, we can investigate any project involving our feasibility area:

Bars with holes are a rational and economic alternative to drilling or boring, in particular for general

production or for holes over great lengths. In some cases, the hole can also be used as a basis for

counter-drilling or tapping or reworking operations.

Our bars are used in a wide variety of areas such as:

probes).

− Chemistry and energy (transport of corrosive liquids, probes, injectors, nozzles).
