To approve order authorizing the inclusion of subsections (f) and (g) to Section74-191 of the Dallas County Code to provide specific policy guidelines regardingthe prohibition of political activity in County buildings or on County property.

To approve order authorizing an additional Public Defender to be utilized byCriminal District Court #4 and one (1) less Public Defender to be used in the 195th

Criminal District Court, and adopting the authorized staffing level for the PublicDefender's Office, as outlined.

18. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the Office of Budget and Evaluation to transfer$66,062 from Unallocated Reserves to the DDA rollover account, due to the needfor additional funds since the FY 2001 DDA expenditures were $66,062 less thananticipated.

To approve order authorizing submission of the FY 2002 State Criminal AlienAssistance Program (SCAAP) reimbursement application, and authorizing theelectronic signature of the County Judge to the Department of Justice's onlineapplication form on the Internet.

To approve order approving the extension of the District Attorney's Grants toEncourage Arrest Policies and Enforcement of Protective Orders Program, fundedby the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP), ViolenceAgainst Women Act (VAWA), for FY 2002, and authorizing the County Judge tosign all related documents.

21. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the Human Resources/Civil Service (HR) Department'srequest to sell tickets to Dallas County employees for the traveling Broadwaymusical, "The Lion King," with HR coordinating with the County Auditor andCounty Treasurer as appropriate.

22. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the Health and Human Services Department and theInstitute of Forensic Sciences to utilize salary lag monies or workers'compensation monies (if salary lag is not available) to fund two (2) modified dutypositions for Health and Human Services for a period not to exceed 90 days, andfor the Institute of Forensic Sciences to place one (1) employee in a currentlyvacant position for a period not to exceed 90 days.

23. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving Attachment #19 (Lab-Bioterrorism Preparedness) tothe contract with the Texas Department of Health (TDH Document No.7560009056 2002) for the period from January 1, 2002 through August 31,2002, and authorizing the County Judge to sign said document on behalf ofDallas County.

24. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the acceptance of 3,300 doses of Influenza vaccinefrom the United States Postal Service, to be distributed as the Health and HumanServices Department desires.


25. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the FY 2002 Comprehensive Energy AssistanceProgram (CEAP) contract with the Texas Department of Housing and CommunityAffairs (TDHCA) in the amount of $1,508,906 for the period from January 1,2002 through December 31, 2002, and authorizing the County Judge toelectronically sign the contract on behalf of Dallas County.

26. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the application to the Texas Department of HumanServices (TDHS) to continue participation in the USDA Commodities program aspart of the National School Lunch/Breakfast Program (NSLlBP) for the period fromJuly 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003, and authorizing the County Judge to signthe application and related documents on behalf of Dallas County.

27. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving an application to the State of Texas, Office of theGovernor, Criminal Justice Division (CJD), for Year 4 funding from the JuvenileAccountability Incentive Block Grant (JAIBG) program on behalf of Dallas Countyand other jurisdictions within Dallas County that formally delegate applicationauthority and commit the required cash match to Dallas County, and authorizingthe County Judge to sign the application documents on behalf of Dallas County.

28. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contracts (RFP No. 2000-016-210 - Requestfor Proposals to Provide Counseling and Treatment Services for the DistrictAttorney Violence Division) with The Family Place, Children First Counseling, andNew Beginning Center for the period from February 1, 2002 through February 28,2002.

To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute a Novation Agreementwith Wolf Camera and Ritz Camera Centers, Inc. for liability of the contract topurchase photographic supplies, Bid No. 2001-041-734 (Annual Contract forPhotographic Supplies), for the balance of the contract period, and authorizing theCounty Auditor to make payments to Ritz Camera Centers, Inc. accordingly.

To approve order consenting to the sale of tax foreclosure property at 41 9 N.Westmoreland Road, DeSoto, Texas, to the highest bidder, Don Valk, in theamount of $375,000, even if the bid tendered is less than the market value of theland specified in the judgment of foreclosure or the total amount of the judgmentsagainst the property, and authorizing the DeSoto I.S.D., as Trustee, to act onbehalf of the County of Dallas and other listed entities in the sale and executionof a quitclaim deed for the property conveying for the purchaser the right, titleand interest acquired or held by the County as a party to the tax judgment.
