Gejs Solar heating that pays offGejs Solar heating that pays offWHY?It’ is free!As long as the sun shines, there will only be a small circulation pump in operation at the system. Of course you have to invest in a system, but it is not likely that taxes will come in the sun!

HOW. 1. The sun shines approximately 1800 hours in Denmark per year.

2. Solar panels covers your household usable water needs from approximately April to October approximately 6 months. Additionally you can expand the system so it will send hot water on to the central heating system (floor heating) when, in the summertime, there is reserves of energy for it.

3. So a normal summer there will be no need for other heating, however you can connect a second heat source, which could be a electricity cartridge, gas/oil/stoker firing system which could help, when the sun is gone several days.

4. In the winter the solar panels will only be a contribution to the heating system, which you normally use. But on a sunny winterday there also are free solar energy!

CAPACITY.Not two families needs are the same, but some things you can use as starting point:

Eks: 1 solar panel (about 2 m2) per person. or 2 panels for couples without children. or 4 panels for ordinary family with children. or 5-6 panels for larger families depending on consumption.

STORAGE TANK.Because the sun deliveres so much heat in the summer, all systems are mounted with a storagetank, for instance 200 ltr, which will be used as buffer, so that even the sun stays away for ahole day, you still have hot water enough until the following day. 1 solar panel needs about 100 ltr. accumulation.

INSTALLATION.2 - 4 panels on the roof, tank in the boiler room, control and connection of pipes in the boilerroom between existing systems. Tank controller takes approximately 2 days, if all conditions are usually available. Working hours are based on a plumbing installer.

Do it yourself:Is a good possibility because most people who is a little bit handyman, will be able to mountGEJS solar panels. So there may be a lot of money to save by mounting the system yourself.

Gejs silo stokerOperate directly from wood pellet silo.For exampel 4 m3 and into compact GEJS silo stoker.The advantages are obvious:• You save filling 1-2 times a week and the system operates 1-2 months.• Gejs silo is mounted with 2 sensors, that indicates when more pellets are

required, then request pellets from the large external silo, eg 3 ton.• With 63, 100 or 150 mm powerful auger.

Choice of stokerIf you are about to buy a new firing system, GEJS stoker can be recommended.For example you get the opportunity to fire with almost anything: grain, woodchips and different kinds of biofuel.In our program you find Alcon, which can be combined with the different sizesof stoker from 250 - 4000 liter.

Choose a size of the magazine (liter) which are big enough to be running for about 1 week in the wintertime or more if needed.For example a 400 liter GEJS stoker can be running for about 1 week with woodpellets in the wintertime in Denmarkin a house of about 150 m2. Depending on how good the house has been isolated.

Eg woodchips:Here you have to calculate to use about 3 times more volume. Therefore it will be wise to choose a bigger magazine,when you have to use/fire with chips.

250 liter GEJS stoker can only be used for woodpellets and small granulates.

400 og 750 liter GEJS stoker can be expanded alternatively with mixing device, which normally will be necessary, ifyou fire with chips or other material 0-3 cm, which will be able to mould over the auger in the bottom.

850 - 1250 - 4000 liter GEJS stoker is for firing with anything and is standard always with mixing device in the bot-tom, which can take bigger chips 0-6 cm.

GEJS Silo stoker is for the customer, who wants to have a big external tank. This way the silo stoker calls for material from the tank when needed.

Choice of boiler:The size of the kW of the boiler is chosen by looking at the size of the house in m2, age of the house and how much isolation in the house. E.g. could a house aged 20-30 year often use about 1 kw per 10 m2, so e.g. 180 m2 house = 18 kW. Newer houses less and older houses more.

One of the important things about the boiler is, that you choose somethingthat fits the need of the house, has a good efficiency and is easy to clean.

All our boilers can be delivered with hole for stoker in right or left side.

GEJS K 100 Stoker boiler for GEJS stokerhoppers from 40 to 6700 liters.

The boiler originally is a wood-boiler, which now has been tested with woodpellets.The boiler can be selected with flange hole in right or left side.

1. Fuel box. Powerful box in e.g. 250, 400, 750, 850, 1250 or 4000 litre 2. Mixing device. Can be mounted from factory or can be done afterwards on almost all GEJS stokers. Used for getting material as sawdust, some kinds of wood chips to fall down to the auger. 3. Door in full size makes the refilling of material easy. Door with gas damper and door switch which turns of the auger, when the door opens. 4. Oxygen- or PLC controller in easy construction which anyone can use. Makes the filling of material correct. 5. Water extinguishing system mounted with thermal sensor is a security against possible glows to be put out if they are on their way into the fuel box. 6. Fan for combustion air with adjustable damper. 7. Sensor for stoker can be mounted here. 8. Easy access to the boilers cleaning surface. 9. Fuel door for solid fuel with easy access. 10. Powerful gear motor with direct draw secures longer life. 11. Powerful auger with 4 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm thick turners. 12. Wheels mounted on adjustable legs. Makes it easy to disassemble the system and perhaps adapt the stoker for your own boiler. 13. Feeding tube. Advantages of complete firing systems:Two-piece system - meaning easier access/disassembly. It might be a good thing to have it all built as one big, closed box, but it is not very convenient if you need todisassemble the entire system when cleaning or in case of error.

With our stoker firing system you have easy anddirect access to it all. We clean our own firing system at GEJS every 30 days and it only takes 5 minutes to do it. If at the same time you wish to fire with solid fuel (only outside EU), you just need to fill it into the boiler and the firing system will take care of the rest with light-up from the stoker flame. Then the stoker operates on pause operation until heat is required again. It doesn’t get any easier than that.

All stoker firing systems can be adjusted in height. The stated height is the bottom height. From here it can be adjusted further 35 cm upwards. This might be necessary in order to adapt the boiler you might already have. The stoker can be fitted on the right or left side of the Alcon boiler.
