The DataEngine is comprised of 3Workbenches, each with a unique role in supporting the various activities required to manage the end-to-end process of a transaction. An extensive set of available Data Connectors to traditional and non-traditional third party data bureaus allows for more rapid solution development.

Custom summarized attributes based on raw data returned from data bureaus are easily implemented and tested with a simple to use scripting language.

These attributes are accessible through the DecisionEngine, where custom scorecards are then implemented. GDSLinkoffersasetof1,000plusnormalizedattributes,available for the three nationalconsumerbureaus.

Complete documentation is provided allowing licensees to have a full understanding of how the attributes were developed—these can be used to develop scorecards, and for credit decisioning.

Critical to the value of any risk management solution is the ability to rapidly adjust to changing market conditions, regulatory requirements, internal policy changes and new product initiatives. The DecisionEngine is the component which drives all of the risk management strategies — byapplying the logic to rendercreditdecisions,suchasevaluatingaconsumerorbusinessinformationforaloan,ordrivingtreatmentstrategiesbasedonexistingaccountrelationships.

DecisionEngine: addresses several obstacles often experienced by credit grantors when implementing risk strategies including: long implementation periods,difficultyinrapidlyrespondingtomarketandeconomicchanges, and inability to simulate results prior to theimplementationofanewpolicy.

DecisionStudio: this component is the graphical user interface of DecisionEngine, which is put into the hands of the business users—typically the risk management team. DecisionStudio is a user friendly object editor, that allows the user to quickly and reliably implement their risk management policies. Some of the key objects available in DecisionStudio are:

Internal data, including: ApplicationData,PerformanceData, along with the Original Credit Bureau Data is assembled—creating a comprehensive map of an applicant’s data profile.

DecisionLab then identifies predictive data attributes related to the performance indicator—once established, the system will generate code behind the predictive attributes along with score intervals, population distributions, expected values and forecast tables that are used to set score cut-offs based on an institution’s target approval rates and loss targets.

In times of rapid changes and uncertainty supervising the predictiveness of scorecards and credit policies is essential. DecisionIntelligence, along with DecisionStudio, supports the continuous performance monitoring of generic or custom scoring models.
