    Dear Parents,

Summer Vacation is the summertime fun for the kids which begin with the ringing of the last bell in the school. It is the happiest moment for the kids as they get a long break from the daily hectic life of school and school work, rules and regulations, including the relaxation from high summer heat and to recoup their health and viability. This long awaited summer vacation will bestow you with an opportunity to spend some quality time with your child and to know each other a little more and make your bonding stronger.

What Is The Purpose Of Holiday Homework?

The basic objectives of assigning homework is to increase the knowledge and improve the abilities and skills of the students, to prepare them for upcoming lessons, to extent what they know, or to integrate their abilities by applying it to new situation. Homework also provides an opportunity for parents to participate in their children’s education and become a supporting and motivating role model for their kids.

During the vacation there will be no regular school routine or work, it isexciting, but freedom brings more responsibility, so keeping this in mind; we have planned some activities to keep our children engaged and also help them in channelizing their energies. To make this plan a successful one, we expect the parents to help and guide your child in completing his/ her work and also exploring his/ her creative self.

Intra personal Development : - Personal Hygiene & Safety

Encourage your child to take care of personal hygiene and to be safe.

  • Learn to be responsible and develop personal skills: Give your child one task every day and figure out how he/she will complete this task.

    • Keep things in their proper place so as to keep your bedroom clean. • Help your mother in laundry. • Water the plants. • Dust and clean your room. • Look after your younger brother or sister. • Set the dining table for your family. • Feed your pet if you have any or feed birds. • Adopt a plant, nurture it and observe how it grows?

Earn a star for helping someone every day and assemble those stars on an A 4 size paper. Draw the objects in which you can see numbers on an A4 sheet and decorate it as well.

    Develop some social skill:

Help your child to become a caring human being by developing the following habits. • Give respect to the elders and love to the young ones. • Four magic words that are basics of good manners – Please, Thank you, Excuse me and Sorry. Make these four

    Fall in love with hobbies

    • Encourage the child, do regular exercise, yoga and meditation.

Kiddies Kitchenettes • Take your child to the kitchen and let him/her observe how you prepare delicious food for him/her. You can ask

for the help as well, though it would be petite but it gives children a great sense of satisfaction and proud to be a responsible hand.

    • Talk to your child about any summer fruit like, mango, water melon etc… Prepare him/ her for Show & Tell activity to be held after summer vacation covering the information – season, place where it is found, its taste, nutrients we get from it, name the various things can be made using it.
