Congratulations to the GCT Odyssey of the Mind Teams that represented us at the State OM Competition last Saturday. Just a little statistical information for the record. GCT sent 15 competition teams to regional competition and they all advanced to state. We had more teams competing at regional and state competitions than any other school district in the state. We lead thestate in the number of teams that will represent Arkansas at OM World Finals. We have a total of 7 teams going to OM World Finals at Michigan State University (5 first place teams and 2 second place teams). Greene County Tech School District teams swept the Balsa Structure Problem taking 1st place in each of the three divisions. The structure could only weigh 15 grams and the High School team held the most weight of all teams in all divisions with 858 pounds of weight as their score. If you see any of these students or coaches be sure to let them know how proud we are of the way they have represented Greene County Tech School District.

Below is the specific information about each team by problem. Thank You all for your support of our teams. Kem Drake

During Spring Break 2017, the GCT Maintenance Dept. installed a sewer pump at the Main Campus. The pump was needed due to the deterioration of the old sewer line. The Pump will service the Multi- Purpose Building, the Football Field House and the North Concession Stand. A big shout out goes to the following people: Mike Johnson, Mitch Gander, Jim Morrow and Wes Gill for all the hard work. The District is fortunate to have people with the experience and knowledge to undertake such a massive job. Thank you to Donnie Russell for the photos.
