Project 1a e-portfolio• All of your files, even those done at home,
need to be saved in your Project 1a folder• The backup folder should have a copy of
every file as well• Good idea to have a USB drive set up the
same as your ICT folders• There needs to be a link on your Project 1a
e-portfolio page to every file in your Project 1a folder

Project 1a Word Page Layout • All Word files must have the same layout• They must use the same fonts for headings and body text• All formatting must be the same throughout• All pages must have a left margin of 5 cm• A professional looking font that is size 12 must be used• Headings can be a little more ‘casual’ and must be bigger• The header must contain:
• Project 2• Your full forename and surname• Candidate No:0000 (will change 0000 at a later date)

The Booklet • Front cover with title, image(s) and your name• Back cover with list of websites used• Six pages with a different career on each one• Each page to have the same types of information on
it• Must include an image for each, the salary and
qualifications as well as some written section(s)• Do not needs lots of written information just a brief

• different target audiences • reasons why they would want a booklet about
different careers

• Year 9 pupils• GCSE pupils• A-level pupils• Adults
• Reasons for careers booklet:• ‘Year 9 pupils are going to choose their GCSE
options this year and will need information about the qualifications needed for a particular career’.
Section 1 – The Purpose • You have 10 minutes to write your purpose
up in Word• Remember the page layout criteria• Include the following:
• Your target audience• The reasons why they would need the booklet• Any design considerations relating to your target
audience• The information that is going to be in the booklet
including qualifications, salary and suitable images
• The six careers you are going to include (not the same as your friends)
