DEVELOPING your points
For questions that are levelled marked (4 marks and above), you
must develop your points. You should write in full sentences that
have connectives. Your answer should NOT be a list!
Make a point and then develop your answer
E.g. In coastal areas explain how rocks are broken down by
weathering (2 marks)
A type of coastal weathering is chemical weathering. This is where
pollution causes acid rain which slowly dissolves the rock.
* When answering a levelled question to develop your
points use connectives, e.g. because…, this means…, as a
result…, this could…, therefore…, etc.
* You should also aim to use words from the question, e.g.
A type of coastal weathering is chemical weathering. This is where
pollution causes acid rain which slowly dissolves the rock.
