    TEACHING METHODOLOGY

    We at Global Business School (GBS) firmly believe to make learning more

    applied, interactive and joyful for our students. In order to reiterate this belief, we

    have designed the experiential learning at GBS after doing intensive research and

    benchmarking with IIMs and other top notch institutes around the world.

    GROUP LEARNING

    Frequent exchange of ideas and information among group members through

    discussions and presentations is a proven methodology for the development of

    professional and communication skills.

    THE CASE STUDY METHOD

    The case method is used extensively to develop analytical skills critical to businessdecision-making. The students as potential managers are exposed to the

    complexities of the highly competitive professional environment under simulated

    conditions to create a competent race of new generation managers.

    PRESENTATION

    Presentations are one of the important components of any learning process.

    Students are motivated to give more and more presentations to improve their

    communication skills, develop confidence and overall personality.

    REGULAR ASSIGNMENTS

    Faculty gives regular assignments which paves for the students a way to acquire

    knowledge from different sources. It helps them to develop an ability to search

    select, organize & analyze the materials for presentation as solutions or

    dissertations.

    PROJECT WORK

    The project work constitutes another major component. The objective of any

    project is to help the students in developing their ability to apply theoretical and

    practical tools/techniques to solve real life problems related to business and

    research.

    FOR THE STUDENTS, BY THE STUDENTS: STUDENT COMMITTEES

    Different interest groups in the campus which are run by students for the

    benefit of students. Offers live experience in managing things: development of

    team skills and leadership skills. GBS offers opportunities to the students to

    organize various co-curricular activities like Debates, Quiz Contests, Festival

    Shows, Picnic etc. as per their talent and potential under the guidance of

    students counselors appointed by the centre coordinators and advisory

    committee consisting of the representatives of students and faculty members.

    ILP (INDIVIDUAL LEARNING PROGRAM)

    Student assessment (during GD/PI stage + after academic session starts) so

    that personal attention could be given to each student.

    Career counseling sessions from industry experts

    Identify specific ways to grow and form the bedrock of the developmental

    opportunities.

    Practical development suggestions are provided to help the students better

    understand their key motivations, build on their strengths and learn how to

    Candidates seeking admission to MBA+ PGDFM programme must have a degree in any discipline fro

    recognized university. Students in the final year or awaiting result can also apply. Their candidature, howe

    is subject to their clearing the qualifying examination.

    SELECTION CRITERIA

    Candidates, who appear in the MAT/CAT examination and have applied to GBS, will be called on merit bas

    for a group discussion and personal interview leading to their final selection.

    DURATION OF PROGRAMME

    Two years.

    FEE STRUCTURE:

    Rs. 1,75000 per annum including Laptop and Study Material + Rs. 10,000/- (Refundable security deposit ontime).

    DURATION AND CLASS SCHEDULE

    Each subject will have 3 hours of teaching per week, i.e. two classes per week, each of 90 minutes duration.

    faculty and students, Extensive latest software to enable students to work on data analysi

    web technologies and enterprise computing, Microsoft campus Agreement for accessin

    enhanced and advanced IT tools and applications.

    The Library

    The Institutes library has latest books and magazines, national and internation

    periodicals, research journals covering diverse aspects of business, technologies an

    research. The Syndicate Rooms provide the right setting to the students for important bra

    storming sessions.

    The Lecture Theaters

    The lecture theaters provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focuse

    Global Business School is fully committed towards quality education, both in theory an

    practice. No amount of knowledge & education is valuable unless it is used for th

    interaction between the industry and the institution is established through the Training an

    Placement cell (GBS)

    The placement cell activities of the college will be headed by the Training & Placemen

    Officer along with a group of active students.

    The placement office will provide active support in placing the students in industries f

    Summer Internship and also help them in final placement by inviting companies f

    conducting Placement Interviews at campus as well as outside the campus.

    Guest Speakers are also invited to provide counseling for career building and help th

    students to develop effective job strategies. In addition to this, Group Discussions, Moc

    Interviews, Seminars and Industrial visits will be regularly conducted.

    This gives an excellent exposure to students, helping them understand the needs of th

    industry and also aiding them in their placement. The GBS will be making all efforts t

    Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and is liable for punishment as per the provision of th

    Indian Penal Code. As per Honble Supreme Court of India proceedings in the subject SLP(C

    No. 25295/2004 and 24296-24299/2004 In case the applicant for admission is found to hav

    indulged in ragging in the past or if it is noticed later that he/she has indulged in ragging

    admission may be refused or he/she shall be expelled from the educational institution

    GBS RULES & REGULATIONS

    1. No refund of fees will be made on withdrawal/cancellation of admission under an

    circumstances. Such amount will also not be transferred to any other account.

    2. Security amount will be forfeited in case of withdrawal/cancellation of the admissio

    before the completion of the course.

    3. Any fee concession, provision of any other facility (including the bank loan), by th

    institute will be considered only on the basis of written permission by official authori

    at the time of admission.

    4. A candidate who has appeared in the qualifying examination as per eligibili

    mentioned in the Information Brochure can seek admission to the course subject to thcondition that he/she will submit the result as a proof of meeting the eligibili

    condition before the examination of first semester.

    5. In case the candidate fails to submit the required document, admission shall stan

    cancelled and no request for refund of fee will be entertained under any circumstances

    6. Disciplinary action may be taken against any miscreancy. No further arguments will b

    entertained in the matter.
